I know it doesn't mean much coming from the source, but intersting none the less. You still want him?

INJURY MIGHT TIE TUNA'S HANDS
A league source raised with us on Tuesday night a great point -- and one of our readers echoed it this morning.
To the extent that the Cowboys would contemplate dumping Owens and his $5 million salary before it becomes fully guaranteed on the first weekend of the regular season, the fact that Owens has a hamstring injury that he claims was aggravated by a premature return to practice would result in either an injury settlement or a grievance, if he is cut before he is completely healed.
And maybe that's why (as we reported early Sunday) Owens is taking the position that he might not be 100 percent until the second week of the regular season, since even one game check obtained is worth nearly $300,000.
In fact, the recent statement by Jerry Jones that Owens might have another MRI on his hamstring could be part of a plan by the team to ensure that he's technically "healthy" before they make a final decision as to whether having T.O. and the intense media scrutiny that he attracts for the full course of a 17-week season is worth the headache.
We're not saying that they will let him go. But it would be stoopid not to at least consider it, given what has transpired over the past few weeks.
Meanwhile, kudos to the reader who pointed out to us this morning that, while Owens has missed 15 practices and counting with a "serious" hamstring pull that has yet to show any damage on an MRI, safety Keith Davis has been going strong despite having a bullet in his leg.

Wow ... excellent analysis.
Is TO that disturbed?! This was his fresh chance ...

Looks like we dodged a couple of bullets with this guy and Ricky Williams. Funny how close we came to an absolute disaster this offseason... Thank you Jerry Jones

I called this over two weeks ago. The only people saying he's actually injured are T.O. and his agent.
He's riding his bike during practice and catching balls after practice alone. What a team player. A real gamer. When they kick his ass to the curb it's going to be funny, because he would of gotten a 7 million dollar roster bonus in Philly this spring. Keep on Rappin' there T.O., right out of the NFL. I got mine huh? I bet this MRI doesn't show crap just like the other ones didn't. My avatar stays up and I can smell tuna melt cooking.

People say they are shocked when a photo is taken and they see it. Psychologists say people do a little mirror mirror on the wall, or conversely, people with low esteem, particuliarly women, will equally see themselves as fat, ect. T.O. probably sees Zeus in the mirror.
Somebody needs to lay out Chad Johnson as well. He picked up and now it's some pathetic contest. Now he's sporting pink rocks in his ears to match his bleached mohawk.

I'm not going to pull the thread. I don't even know how to properly search anyway. How about this. Remember the poll I started about when T.O. would have his "Miracle Healing?". Now run back to the circle jerk room.
I said that the "Curfew Violations" were rediculous too. That will never be proven, but it was so hillariously lame when after I commented it was fishy as a unclean snatch they come up with identical stories. No fine, no stripping of Captain's status even for one weeks game. I suppose your buying that bag of magic beans too.

I caught that too. About par for the course as far as PFT goes.

Well, I think it was. But PFT asserts itself to be a reputable news source. Reputable news sources don't use alternative spellings in subtle attempts at humor.
Just my opinion, of course.

Or maybe. Just maybe. The guy has a chronic hamstring problem. He had it in San Francisco.

I hate to say it but if the first round swap picks speculation is true then I am going to have to root for Owens to tear it up against the Skins twice this year. It's one thing to have an ego and think who you are but eventually you have to realize what a moron you are making yourself out to be and grow up.
I know the media loved it, but if I was Parcells and saw TO wearing that stupid cycling outfit while riding the bike I would've kicked him out of practice. The guy thinks everything is a joke and thinks he is above everyone. I wanted him to play for Denver this year but now I am so glad we didn't get him.

They're playing head games. TO doesn't like Parcells' practices. It's like a little shot across his bow 'remember what happened to your paycheck LAST year ... it can happen again if you piss of the Tuna too much!"

I'd love to see one of his teammates beat the **** out of him on the sideline during a nationally televised game. Think that might bruise his ego some?

He's at the age now where hamstrings will be an issue, something everyone seems to forgotten in all the hype. Poor thing! His tender stuff won't let him play, since he's irritated the hammy three times now. *tsk*
Odds on T.O. tanking Cowboy team by week six...EVEN MONEY

Cowboys will do well with or without TO I believe. Probably better without him as a distraction.
Of course, ESPN is going to ride TO all year whether he plays or not.
