I've been out for a week on vacation...WOOT!!

Can somebody tell me what's been up with him not practicing and how is he doing?

He is out with an injury till the final preseason game.

Partially torn PCL, not as serious as it sounds. They said that he should be back for the preseason finale in Arizona.

He's got a slight tear of his Posterior Cruciate Ligament in the Detroit game. A slight tear is the same thing as a sprained knee.

Shanny said he hopes he will be back on field for the Arizona game but since that is only 11 days away I'd just as soon he comes back for St. Louis.

We seem stocked at WR though and each of these guys would make the team if we could keep 7. Thats not counting Hixon who is sure to go to IR or PS.

I suspect Marshall will win back the #3 spot after the bye week at game 4.

Crap. So I guess he won't be our #3 WR then.

Kircus appears to be the front runner for that spot right now.

He will, despite the injury. He is that much better than the rest of the group.

Not sure about that. The coaching staff obviously thinks highly of Kircus since he played exclusively with the first team last night.

Marshall, Kircus, and Watts will be #3A,B,C depending on the situation IMHO. The real battle is for the sixth WR spot. Clark and Devoe are in a ST's battle to see who gets the final spot.

David is certainly playing well right now (as Darius was last week), but I think when Marshall gets back into the groove of things (perhaps a week or two after he returns), he will retake his spot at No. 3. He has alot more talent than the other guys and is very consistent. Shanny seems to really like him alot.

I think Darius should try his claw at some punt return duties

Yea...I'm removing Terrell from the equation as well. He said he didn't want to be here if he was a benchwarmer, so I don't see him making the cut.

Can't wait to see Marshall when the season starts...he's gonna be huge for us.

And Watts isn't even going to be playing anymore in the preseason because supposedly they "know what he can do". Does that seem odd to anyone else but me? Do they not know what Rod Smith can do and yet, he's playing in the games? Just seems weird.

I thought that was just for last nights game.

To me it means he's already been cut...

I think they wanted to let Rod test the leg (hamstring) a bit and get back his timing, etc... They did pass the ball to a lot of bubble players and get "other" rookies some more game time. It had nothing to do with Watts. If anything, Watts is secure up to this point. They didn't pass to Walker either but had him running routes, working off the jam, cutting, being in the right place on the field. That didn't indicate his job was in jepardy either.

Watts up?

Darius Watts, who did not dress for the final 10 games of the 2005 regular season or either playoff game, has solidified his position as the Broncos' No. 3 wide receiver. Shanahan played the former second-round pick only briefly so he could get a long look at some of the bubble boys.

He's locked in.

Let me go on record with my fellow associates Mediator12 and SoCalBronco that Marshall will be the number 3 guy sooner rather than later. During OTA's who was the guy impressing the likes of Darren Williams and Champ? Brandon Marshall. He was also the most consistant of the receivers hands-wise and he is physically an enormous target. Kircus is making a move and will probably stick but Marshall will be back in the mix and get time as he heals.
