Almost nothing he writes is coherent. And what's more, it's scary how he tries to keep his readers (in other words, himself) entertained.
Also: Did he right his own intro on the home page for this blog? "Self-indulgence" is a word he tends to like to use.
I guess we should feel lucky that we have a web/mediamaster like Mason.
Edit: Pre-game meals, bratwurst, sodas: he never seems to stop eating. God bless his soul.

Andy Mason writes...... Tonight's pre-game meal ... the "gourmet burger" with lettuce, tomato, cheese, ketchup and mustard from the "Mile High Grill" along the east club level. Burgers at this five-year-old facility have never failed to disappoint; the patties are grilled, and the utilization of a french roll instead of a sesame-seed bun provides a nice touch. Like the Broncos themselves, all I want tonight is an evening without any negative surprises, and this burger provides sufficient victuals in advance of kickoff, with its backyard-from-the-grill quality and just a wisp of pink in the beef. I'm not a big fan of cheddar cheese -- a slice of which was placed on the burger -- but it doesn't detract.
I can't tell if he likes the burger or not. Now if it was 'Burger Bill' I could take a pretty good educated guess.

not often you see someone work a Rainer Wolfcastle reference into the mix on his gameblog.

I thought it was decent. And food wise, who doesn't eat before the game and at the half?

Yeah. I've talked to Mason on a number of occasions and he's a good guy. He works very hard to keep the site fresh with new material. Sometimes they have to reach (like a Q&A with the equipment manager) but it's better than some sites that are only updated weekly.

Frankly, I don't see the big deal. His blog was not as bad as you made it out to be.

As I recall, a goof portion of folks around here bitched and moaned about Adam Schefter and his "food reviews" too - which inevitably led to griping about the content of the rest of his articles. Now we hear the same gripes about "Burger Bill" and Andrew Mason while Adam gets his articles posted here frequently with much respect. Granted I do think Bill is horrible, but lighten up on the food review bashing. Everyone eats and who doesn't like a good pre-game tailgate party?

Nobody was bashing the food review, just pointing out that it wasn't written to say what he apparently intended. Get it?
I used to gripe about Scheftner and his east coast bias. Now I wish I had such a luxury. Ugh. Burger Bill... what does he really do for the post?
As for Mason... i'm sure he tries hard but man, I've seen better, fresher reporting from the people on this forum. I just think he is kind of lame.

This is an excellent question. I've been trying to find out the same thing for two years.

I thought the breakdown on what song they were playing after we scored was interesting.
Man am I going to miss hearing Rock&Roll Part 2 (HEY!) on game days.
Prince?
KC and the Sunshine Band?
:thumbsdow
Prince would only be entertaining if it was Dave Chappelle doing it.
I would rather they play no music now.

Im not one to agree with that racist, but he's right. The blog wasn't bad and pre-game food is part of football.
