If you have a guy that you think is going to be a pretty good sleeper throw his name on this thread. By Sleeper I mean a guy that will put up #'s that are as good as guys drafted atleast 3 or 4 rounds higher. For example, I just posted about Zach Hilton. I think you can draft him in the 12-15th round and possibly later. I also think he's going to put up, at the minimum, 550 yards and 5 TD's. Believe it or not, but that would put him in the same company as guys like Randy McMichael, Jeremy Stevens, Bubba Franks, Dallas Clark, and Heath Miller. Yet almost all of those guys will go by or in the 10th round based on their names being more common.

Post more names. I'm looking for WR's in particular.

Two immediate names that come to mind.

Bryant and Matt Jones. Neither will be drafted as #1 or #2 receivers, yet both are #1's on their respective teams. Take either of those guys later on and be happy with solid depth! Your 3rd receiver will start as many games as your 1 or 2 in most leagues!!!

Interesting question...

QB:

Jon Kitna: Going to have a good statistical year playing in Mike Martz' offense. He'll throw 20-25 TD's and he'll keep the INT's down.

Kurt Warner: I know everybody is saying he'll have a good season. I think he'll have a great one. The NFC West is weak especially in the secondary's. Kurt will also have 11 dome games this year which will help increase his production. I predict he will go to the pro bowl.

HB's:

Steven Jackson: I think he'll have a really big year if Lenihan commits to the run. They have a great Oline.
Chester Taylor: The Minnesota head coach is committed to grinding out games and the Vikings have added some very good components to the OL in which to give him a chance.
Ronnie Brown: No Ricky Williams in the backfield to compete with means he gets all the meaningful carries and tons of yards. This guy is going to be very good.

WR:

Eric Moulds: Should be the beneficiary of Gary Kubiak's west coast offense.
Antonio Bryant: I hate this guy but he has been looking great in 49ers camp. Alex Smith is going to find him a bunch.
Roy Williams: Should have a great year being the focus of Mike Martz' passing offense.

I would pick more but I don't have my magazine in front of me...

If your playing out of town ie Texas Mike Bell is going to get a ton of points. but you probably already know that. I got him in the 8th round.

I also think you can wait on getting a qb and pick up daunte or brunell both will have big years if they stay healthy

As always, a great post. I'm going to bold a couple points to your guys. Tell me what you think.

Interesting question...

QB:

Jon Kitna: Going to have a good statistical year playing in Mike Martz' offense. He'll throw 20-25 TD's and he'll keep the INT's down.

I think Kitna can do well with a Mike Martz style offense. But I don't think he has the same caliber receivers. Roy Williams is a good player. One of my favs actually, but to say he's not quite as good as Holt is a big understatement! Still the 20-25 TD's seems reasonable.

Kurt Warner: I know everybody is saying he'll have a good season. I think he'll have a great one. The NFC West is weak especially in the secondary's. Kurt will also have 11 dome games this year which will help increase his production. I predict he will go to the pro bowl.

If he starts the whole year, which is about 50/50 right now. Consider Matt Leinart is behind him. If the Cards choke early, Denny may stick Leinart in earlier to get him the reps and preparation for a future run. Also consider that Kurt Warner hasn't had an injury free season since 2000 or 2001. All that be said, if he is healthy and starts the entire year... 4000 and 35 TD's is certainly possible! Don't think Edge will steal TD's either. There will be no room to run!

I agree whole heartedly on both of these guys. Unfortunately, Ronnie and Steven are falling into that lower 1st tier/upper 2nd tier category. That makes them hard to figure right now. If I was drafting say #3 and #21, I'd be excited to grab either one of those guys. But, in the drafts I've seen lately they are going between 10 and 18... not sure I'd pull the trigger on them that early.

WR:

Eric Moulds: Should be the beneficiary of Gary Kubiak's west coast offense.

Time will tell. He's one of the guys that I've been afraid to even guess on. You're the man though, so I'll keep him in mind in the future!
Antonio Bryant: I hate this guy but he has been looking great in 49ers camp. Alex Smith is going to find him a bunch.
One of the few #1 receivers that you can get in the later rounds. I have him in two leagues now. One, I drafted him late (13th or later) the other I picked him up as a FA!
Roy Williams: Should have a great year being the focus of Mike Martz' passing offense.
He's no Torry Holt, but I think 1100 yards and 8-10 TD's is possible. Time will tell. I drafted him in the 4th round in another league. I figure that is right about where he should go.

I would pick more but I don't have my magazine in front of me...CHEATER!!! ;D

I would say D. Mason with the Ravens - he and McNair were 'gelling' yesterday and i can't help but think they have to have a good year (like their days in Tennessee). Maybe not a huge sleeper but definitely undervalued right now.

QB Our own Jake Plummer- He will put up close to 2004 numbers this year with all his new redzone targets.

RB Maroney, NE - Brady just does not have many targets and this rookie will be starting day 1. He will easily get 1300/12 this year.

TE- Cooley, WA- No one has been able to cover him in camp and he is now Saunders new Tony G.

WR-Jenkins, Atl- Finnerman is out for the year, Crumpler is still having shoulder issues and all I keep hearing is Jenkins has become Vicks favorite target.

Other of note: WR Wilford, JAX (redzone Dynamo, and the real #1 guy)

Do you know Wilford led the league in dropped passes last year? I think he's shaky myself.

I definitely believe the coaching staff wants Matt Jones, the former number one pick, to be the number one guy, he's got the tools to make it happen, too.

Is there anyone on the Vikes worth a look?

Seattle WRs.

The Texans RBs.

There are sleepers all over. Just takes some investigation.

I have a dirty little secret, I picked up Ashley on waivers. I am hoping he gets traded to a pass happy team like Philly. I dumped a kicker for him so he isn't really costing me a spot. If nothing happens I figure I can dump him later.

Yes he does drop some, but he is a favorite target of Byron's in the endzone. Last year he had more TDs than Smith did and a nice 16.6 ypc. He is 6'4 and is more refined a route runner than Jones.

Jones may push for the #1 in 2008, but I see Wilford as a 1000 yd guy this year with 8-12 tds.

Any questions about Antonio Bryant??? Matt Jones is putting up decent #'s as well. The suprising emergence of Reggie Williams is not helping his #'s, but he's still managing to pull in 6 passes per game and about 60 yards per game. Good for 8 points per. Not bad for a guy that lasted till the 10th round in most drafts. Bryant on the other hand is only putting up 18 pts per game... I think he went in the 10th or later as well. Some douche robbed me of him in the NPN league, but I damn sure grabbed him in the Geek league!

To bad Moss sucks :)

Broncoman13

Moss doesn't suck, everyone around him does!!! :D

Luckily, with Plax and Bryant I have the best duo of receivers (pts wise, very early on) in the league!

I think its fair to say my team as a whole is a big fantasy sleeper ;D
