First off this was my first training camp that I have attended, pretty awesome experience because your right there and you can hear the players joking around about how the chiefs will not stop the bootleg.;D

Seriously though I was waiting around for practice to start and right next to me is an attractive lady who I had to check out and I caught that she had huge ring on her finger. Im thinking ok which player's wife is this and why is she sitting next to me?:wiggle: After practice I find out it was Guard Taylor Whitney's wife. Anyway I will post pics when Im done with the report.

Today several players sat out- Champ, Al Wilson, Javon Walker, Rod Smith, Warren, Ian Gold etc.

Ok here is the report and I will start with offense first.

Quarterbacks- Jake Plummer looked sharp throwing the ball over defenders and getting the ball to the reciever. He messed up one play really bad where there was a route miscommunication or something.

Jay Cutler- Boy can this kid throw the ball! He has an arm. I show up and on the other side of the field it appears someone is punting the ball or something and its Jay Cutler warming up by throwing deep balls. He did really well today and looks super calm in the pocket as evidenced in my pic later in the thread.

BVP- Alright this guy did not impress me today he threw a pick on an extremely poor long ball. The thing just wobbled in the air and easily the defender got the ball.

Parsons- Im not going to bash this guy but he looked really bad. Threw two picks into coverage. Im not worried about him since he is camp fodder.

Running Backs-

Mike Bell- Made some good moves today and looks fluid moving behind the lineman and made some nice cuts. NO FUMBLES.

Tatum Bell- He looked sharp today too, really ran hard on every carry and caught a few balls.

Damien Nash- He had trouble getting through some piles. I assume it is because he is new to the system?

Brandon Miree- He did OK today, nothing spectacular but he had a false start in the 2 minute drill.

Tight Ends-

Tony Scheffler- Holy cow this guy has hands, I never saw him drop a ball, ran really crisp routes. I can see where the rants and raves about him. I didn't see much of his blocking.

Nate Jackson- Caught some nice passes, had a touchdown today thrown by Cutler.

Chad Mustard-Big dude, caught 4-5 balls today in between the hash marks.

Offensive Line- Ok I did not pay attention very much to the line but today there were several false starts and I did see some holding. The offense's third string in the 2 minute drill was horrible, 3 false starts (not including the one by Brandon Miree).

Too bad we can't just have Rocket Man wind up and launch on "kickoffs".

Sounds like Scheff is right on track and Mean Mr. Mustard can catch the ball too! He just needs to find the seam. Then bulldoze thru corners!! Ha!

The Marshall should be back next week I hope.

Stop with the negative vibes! J/K.

Thanks 24. Looks like I probably won't make it out this year so I have to depend on all the great reporters on the Mane.

Crap! I forgot Kircus! That guy made several catches today that should make the ESPN top ten plays highlight reel. Unreal is what I have to say and the crowd erupted into applause for the 3-4 UNREAL catches he made.

Todd Devoe- He stunk today dropping several passes. At one point he was frustrated and kicked the ball to the other side of the field. Was not impressive at all.

David Terrell- Did really well when they ran the Red Zone drills today. One touchdown I believe.

Defense-

Defensive Line- Ill just say who I noticed today...

Veal- Did his job of clogging up the middle. Nothing great to report.

Elvis- He got a couple sacks (there was no tackling today) and really has alot of burst and speed. The times I saw him harrass the QB was when he lined up at end. He was the star of the defensive line today.

Lang- He pressured the QB once or twice that I saw.

Linebackers-

Predator- he has alot of speed, unfortunately it reminded me of the Lions game where he came really close but did not get the job done. Just needs to get there a second earlier.

DJ Williams- Looked good, stopped Tatum from making a big run when Cutler threw it to Bell and Williams just stopped .

Nate Webster- Filled in for Al Wilson, he is a short dude. Made a couple key tackles in the 2 minute drill.

Louis Green- Got yelled at by some coach, Im assuming the LB coach for some reason. That was the only time I really noticed him.

Corners-

Darrent Williams- Looked super sharp today getting an interception off Van Pelt and ran it back just short of a TD.

Paymah- Was on his recievers like glue today, stopped Terrell from catching a ball on a slant.

Foxworth- Almost got an INT but Kircus caught the ball. Did well today and is fast as well.

Safeties-

I did not see Lynch today.

Sam Brandon- Did well in coverage by knocking away one of Cutler's deep balls. Also had an Int.

Curome Cox- Played well, nothing to report for him. He is a cool dude because he stuck around after pratice to sign autographs.

I didnt bring a notebook to jot down notes so I just wrote who stuck out the most today in camp. So if I did not write about who you wanted to hear about sorry.

I went to the PM practice, too. Todd Devoe dropped three very catchable balls in about a 10 minute span. After the third drop he picked up the ball and punted it in frustration. I feel bad for the guy as I don't think there's any chance he'll make the team.

Jay Cutler made a couple of awesome throws, one a deep completion to Brian Clark that had the crowd clapping. I hope we hold on to Clark either on the active roster or practice squad. He's impressed me every time I've gone to camp the past 3 weeks.

David Kircus also stood out making some nice catches and had one accrobatic grab that was just out of bounds.

Today's PM practice was pretty boring, otherwise.

STORY OF TODAYS CAMP-

What was interesting was when they ran some red zone drills, Jake Plummer threw the ball to Terrell for what appeared to be a fade play and Terrell almost had the ball but I think Curome Cox knocked it away and they both accidently ran into a little girl who was with her mom and her sister. Everyone was silent and all the players were like AWE SH*T...The little girl cried but I saw something really cool was that Mike Shanahan ran over to the situation and asked the girl how she was doing and right when practice was over he called the little girl over to lead the huddle before the players hit the showers. I have totally new respect for Mike now. Class guy along with the players who immediately stopped what they were doing and checked to see if she was OK.

Here is a pic of Mike checking on the girl.

Nice pic of Fred there on the right of Shanny feigning compassion for the child.

Good point youcandoit1687, he was prolly concerned more about whether she had a bomb then whether she wasok.

just to follow up on the little girl story...

Eight-year-old Allison Sheehan and her family came by Dove Valley merely to watch the Broncos practice. They left as honored guests thanks to an unlikely and unforeseen collision.

"A football player ran over me," Sheehan said. "My dad said that a football player was coming right towards me."

That player was David Terrell, who went up for a pass in the left side of the end zone but tumbled out and found himself colliding with the young Broncos fan, who emerged none the worse for the wear.

"I kind of saw her out the corner of my eye as the play was being called." Terrell said. "I'm seeing here, and I'm (thinking), 'OK, I hope she's sitting down.'

"I tried to slow down and (instead) I hit her. I should have just stopped and jumped and not made a play on the ball and let her walk by."

Sheehan was okay, though, and her family was treated to dinner with the club, while she received a round of applause from the players at the end of the 90-minute practice.

"It was really scary looking at David Terrell run a fade route over there in the end-zone and just kind of swept her off her feet," Head Coach Mike Shanahan said. "We thought she might be hurt but it looks like she is alright. She came and broke our team down and it was kind of special and the team appreciated it."

"She's a tough girl," Terrell said. "She needs to come out here and play football with us

I heard training camp ends this week, is that when they shut down the fans from coming in?There's only two days left of training camp open to the public; Thursday AM and PM (PM is special teams, which isn't worth watching) & Friday AM.

And here's two pictures from today's PM practice showing the reasons Brian Clark's stock is rising and Todd Devoe's is falling:

Clark makes nice hands catches almost all the time
