Maybe a change of scerny will work for this guy. Shanny should bring him in. He was cut from cincy yesterday.

Talented athlete who has that rare combination of size, speed and power to be equally effective at any position on the defensive line … Developing talent who is very physical on the field … "Matthias is a big guy that can run," Spartans defensive line coach Steve Stripling said. "He made great strides as a pass rusher last season. The best thing about Matthias is that he's a big body that can defend the middle and take on double-team blocks, plus, he has the ability to pressure the quarterback." … Started 19 of 35 games during his career, recording 144 tackles (99 solos) with seven sacks for minus-45 yards, 18½ stops for losses of 73 yards, 24 quarterback pressures, an interception and eight pass deflections.

I'm pretty sure we're done w/bringing guys in(assuming no injury). I saw Askew in the Bengals mock game a few weeks ago and he was w/the second team and getting at Anthony Wright a lot. But it's a Shanahan type of guy, so who knows?

Warren will be back for the start of the season(knock on wood). Dumervil's been playing some DT too.

I don't think they ever stop looking for guys to bring in, especially at thin positions.

Charles Rogers will apparently be in the first round of cuts for Detroit. Sounds like another 1st round reclamation project tempting to Shanahan. Hope he resists.

He doesn't play for the Browns, so why would we be interested?

Why? What's the harm in bringing him in for a cheap look-see? If he doesn't pan out, just release him and move on.

Former #2 overall pick? No chance he makes it to the Broncos with all the WR hungry teams out there.
