NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- New Orleans quarterback Adrian McPherson went to the locker room early in the third quarter after a golf cart ridden by the Titans' mascot hit him at the end of halftime Saturday night.

A Saints spokesman wasn't immediately available for an update on the quarterback, who's heading into his second season.

The mascot was riding on a golf cart and throwing items into the stands during halftime, and was heading off the field when the Saints were returning from their locker room for the third quarter.

The cart hit McPherson, who stayed on the field for a few minutes being checked out by a trainer on the sideline. He then walked off the field.

How embarrassing... I can sort of relate: I tripped and fell on my face running through the paper banner when I was a sophmore in HS... and I was the first one through by about 10 yards.

I see that from time-to-time. But the funniest thing I've seen was the kid take a header over a hurdle a few years back. My son plays football, and his team was having a scrimage. There were a few kids on the track, going over hurdles. It was easy to tell none of them had ever ran hurdles, so I was waiting to see somebody fall, but I never thought I'd see a fall like this. They lined up about four hurdles. They would go over the hurdles, then swing back around to the start and go again. But one kid decided to turn around and go back through the hurdles the wrong way, instead of going back to the beginning (when you go over the hurdle the right way it will fall over if you hit it, and you keep running, but if you go over the wrong way, it doesn't fall if you hit it and you'll trip right over it). I knew what was about to happen. If his foot got caught he'd go straight down because the hurdle wouldn't fall over. Sure enough, his foot gets caught on one of the hurdles and the kid takes a header in front of a couple hundred people. He went straight down and landed on his jaw. The kid popped right up, so he luckly wasn't hurt, so the crowd just laughed for about a good minute. Everybody was cracking jokes on the kid.

That's the coache's fault.

My most amsing moment came in Jr. High when as a safety I closed the hole with a guy that had to be 200 and six feet. I bounced off his knee like a ping pong ball. The guy had a ****in' beard!

I was just 98 pounds and would make a dozen tackles per game. I used to go Al Wilson on them for being pussies. I wasn't big enough to even be a corner yet alone a LB which is what I bsically was. Tell me a safety that makes 14 tackles in a game?

I got carried off three times. That I remember anyway.

That was enough for me. I couldn't handle any more concussions.

So, let me get this straight. The Mascot of another team hits a player coming out of the tunnel with a golf cart and you are making fun of the player? WOW!

What if the Lions Mascot hit Cutler with a Golf cart coming out of the tunnel on FRI? No brilliant second half to crow about, No TD catch to Kircus, and I bet you all would be crying conspiracy left an right ;D

what i don't get is how its fishers fault, he's the coach. i really doubt that any of the halftime show was even run by him, much less the planing of it all.

McPherson is maybe the #3 QB. In the old Saints days, it would have been Brees, Reggie, or Deuce to get hit. These will not be your fathers Saints. Who Dat!
