I'm saying Kircus and Shef will be there.
Cut BVP!!!

On an interview after the game...Shanahan said Cutler and Tony played exceptionally well...but being Shanny, of course, he also said they would have to continue to play well and it was only the first game.

I think Cutler's got a shot to make the squad. ;D

Man, I can't say enough about the way he played tonight. He can absolutely make all the throws.

I know that a lot of people here are waiting to watch the game on NFL Network, let me tell you, you're in for a treat.

Kircus, Watts, Scheffler & Dumervil all helped themselves tonight.

Vaughn played okay for a rook.

Kircus has to get the player of the game nod. What did he stat, 6 for 76 and 1 TD? I hate to say he reminds me of Eddiemac (it's too cliched - the guy is white and wears 87) but he has that same ability to get open, snag everything that comes at him (and Cut was zinging that ball!) and taking the big hit. Scheffler looks big, fast and has great hands. He gave me a few laughs with the blocking attempts, but hey, Sharpe wasn't too hot with the blocking either. Cedric put something out there too. I don't know if counts, given that he's playing on the third string, but I'd like to see him get a shot a little earlier in the next game. Not impressed at all with Mikey. Other honorable mentions: Dumervil, Chuka, Roc, Curome, Fox.

If Shawn Bradley tried out for the team and wore 87 I swear someone would say something about Ezy Ed.

What did Clarett do tonight?? Beside eatin baloney and creamed corn with a
glass of kool aid probably not much.

I don't know if he makes the team but a big nod to the HOUSE. Good to see Carswell back on the field. I really didn't think that was ever going to happen again.

Such nice touch. It was a thing of beauty. And the points went on the right side of the scoreboard!

Left the game with a knee sprain. No word as to the severity yet.

Ever since Ed left the team, we have been missing that tough, go across the middle WR, that can make the catches in traffic. I do not understand why you would bring up Bradley unless you are talking about a white guy thing - which is crazy. That is why I think he is drawing that McCaffrey type of comparison. We had a great combination of Rod, Ed, Shannon that has been sorely missing with our running game.

Mike Bell is a UDFA in his first game with a load of pressure.

Plus he has this tough OM audience to play to - just what is it you expect? Cut the kid some slack.

TD, Portis, Anderson - all those guys had bad fumbly preseason games when they were rookies.

What was your first day at work like in some of your jobs?

Shanahan will work on the fumbles and ball protection. This will get much better with a little time and practice, and some action under the actual game lights.

Actually, according to the evening news...he was ordered to see a shrink to see if he's insane or just generaly crazy.

Kircus was the **** tonight. I just got done watching the game. I'd take him over Watts in a heartbeat at the #3 spot.

I know they were hyping Nate Jackson all they could on the TV, but I just don't see him making the team. Shoate is on the bubble, but he made a nice tackle. Whitley was struggling a bit, as well....

What a difference a year makes. Charlie was No3 last year now he's nowhere to be seen and that's minus Lelie.

David Kircus, Curome Cox, and Darius Watts helped themselves. Kircus probably made the team. I would venture that the receivers to make the roster right now are; Smith, Walker, Marshall, Kircus, Watts. Devoe and Clark will battle it out. Adams is gone.

John Engleberger, Todd Devoe, and Nate Jackson didn't do what they need to if they want to stick. The only time Engleberger and Jackson's names were mentioned it was negative. Devoe had the fumble that negated any catches he had.

I think Elvis helped himself in terms of playing time, as did Lang.

Dumervil seemed odd to me ... he was schooled BADLY by Backus at least twice ... and yet he was in the backfield with his hand on the QB's jersey also at least twice ... and his shirt was hanging out all night .... can he afford that at $5000 a game?

I also disagree - I though Nate Jackson was good - despite that regrettable drop. Scheffler was excellent receiving, but allowed a sack in pass protection.

Rookies are going to get schooled, particularly in their first NFL action. Elvis got pressure.

I think Jackson needs to stay healthy and go off in the pre season in order to make the team. He didn't do that. Dropped one cought one.

I thought Mike Bell looked pretty good, on his fumble he was trying to spin and get a few extra yards when he got smacked in the back, I believe a helmet hit the ball and it popped out.

Even Shannahan said players like Portis fumbled the ball in their debut.

Is it possible that th ethird year is the charm for Watts? Looked good on a couple of passes....

Marshall got one, and I hope he is okay. Looks like the WR corps is going to be just fine withoug Lelie, and I would hope they could get a DLineman for him.

It is way too early to really judge this team or the players except for a few. I think several will be gone by monday, but I amnot the one to pick out who.....

I thought M. bell had a good couple runs. I'm very excited about him. There is no dancing around with him he sees the hole cuts and goes. He is gonna be special........MARK MY WORDS! The fumble thing sucked but he'll be fine. He needs to get it out of his system now rather than later.

Kircus to me made a helluva case for the #3 spot. Watts had some good cathces but every time he got hit he looked hurt. I question his durablity.

I'm so pumped about Cutler. He looked so poised in the pocket. I like the future of the Broncos.

You know I'm pretty sure it was Roc who got schooled by Mike Williams near the goaline and he gave up plenty of other balls to his side of the field. He definetly had 1 killer hit and I think everyone is focusing on that.

I'm not sold on Roc. Anyone know how many receptions Roc gave up last night? He had 3 tackes but how many passes did he give up?

I think 2 players who were on the bubble may have just moved themselves onto the roster last nite. Roc Alexander and Karl Paymah. Both were playing pretty good last night and have only helped there causes.
Roc got beat a couple times but i think he should make the team.
