HOO YA! It's here boys...can you feel the adrenaline flowing yet?:strong: I'm PUMPED! No more dreary off-season stuff now...it's ALMOST GAME TIME BABY! 16 Hours and 30 minutes to go now!...ARE YOU READY...FOR SOME FOOTBALL?:yayaya: My top 10 interests for the preseason:
1) Cutler- Can't wait to see that arm go deep!
2) M. Bell- Is he the next TD? Dare we say that out loud?
3) Javon- Holding my breath for that knee.
4) Elvis- Is "the King" the answer to our pass rush woes?
5) B. Marshall- Will "Baby TO" end the red zone problems?
6) Schefler- What's not to like so far?
7) Kuper- Can a rook start in the O-line here?
8) Can D-Will hold of Foxy at CB?
9) Cory Jackson...6'8" baby! Will he keep improving?
10) Esslinger- PS material or roster spot? Nails can't go forever.
I don't like opening the preseason on turf...let's hope they come through tonight intact w/o any injuries and we get a good look at these guys. I have a feeling this might be our year...
HERE WE GO!:gobroncos :bronxrox:

Pass rush, pass rush, pass rush.
I have severe doubts in our DL, especially with Warren/Brown out so it'll be a chance for the no name gang to show something.
Engleberger, Dumervil, Ekuban, Lang, Jackson, anyone?

I can't believe I am this jacked for a preseason game. Hell, I was actually watching the 4th qtr of the colts game last night simply b/c it's football. Here is my list of what I will be looking for (pretty obvious, I know):
1. Pass rush
2. Pass rush from DE's-specifically Jackson
3. Mike Bell
4. Brandon Marshall
5. KO return game
6. Playmakers at Safety
7. Cutler-you could almost put him at 1
8. Tatum
9. Scheffler
10. Foster, backup competition on o-line

My wife actually let me buy a 37" LCD flat panel for football season! I know I'll also have to skip some Sunday nighters to try and stomach a Desperate Housewives episode or two - but it's a fair trade!
I'm concerned about our pass rush. Elvis, C. Jackson or Lang has to show something or I'll be worried. WRs could really be special this year, the RB situation is solid and M. Bell could be what we have been looking for since TD retired. The defensive backfield has improved (DWil and Fox have a year under their belt), linebackers have a little more depth and are among the best in the league.
I worry a little about special teams with Sauroid out for 4 games, but if the offense is clicking, we won't have to punt very much.
I mainly worry about the pass rush - and having to watch Desperate Housewives.

My Toughts So Far
-Cutlers arm is a rocket launcher. Nice to see him and Scheffler got chemistry.
-Patrick Chukwurah could be a sick D. End, but he needs to improve his tackling.
-M. Bell, comon man!!! Give the man some time. Hes probably nervous for his first start playing for his fav. team.
-B. Marsh. injured NOOOOOOO
-Cutler will become a great one eventually.

So far what impresses me the most is Cutler's arm. I haven't seen a rocket like that since...
I think we better get used to the phrase, "Cutler to Sheffler."
Not too impressed with Mikey. Not impressed at all with the D.
Who cares? Bronco football is back! I'm pumped.

If Brandon Marshall was screaming and jumping up and down on the sidelines, I think his leg shouldn't be that day. Best to keep him out and not risk a further injury too it though.

I wonder if Jake's interest in watching Cutler has just given him a stomach ache. This guy is a thing of beauty. I'm buying a Cutler jersey next week.
Kircus isn't doing too bad himself. I'm pumped about some of our aquisitions this offseason. Can you imagine Shanahan running his whole offense? I haven't seen this many successful passes out of the backfield in three years... the whole time Jake has been here.
The sad part is imagine what Ashley could do if he had a rocket arm throwing him the ball.
The running game looks out of sync but I expected that. The defense I'm surprised about. Somebody needs to smack them in the face. Life without Warren and Brown? We need to get our guys bustin' some ass.

Front 4 on d-line is terrible. I shudder to think what would happen if we lost Warren and Brown in reg. season. Only Chuckwurah and Dumervil have impressed me.
We should have signed Andre Carter. Shanny is gonna regret not getting Carter.

Broncojef

Getting some good pressure off the ends and the QB has consistently stepped up into a very weak middle and got the job done. Our DTs look terrible but I think we all knew that going in.
Broncojef
08-11-2006, 06:31 PM
Watts was solid when in made some good catches, no YAC but no bobbles either, it all looked clean. The couple he missed just were uncatchable (as in a defender right there).

I'd personally like to see Rayburn from the Eagles in our DT rotation (much more than Haynes) if we do indeed trade Lelie. Whoever said Cutler to Lelie would be an awesome combination is spot on. If Cutler started with Rod, Javon and Lelie it would be game over.
