I remember watching a delayed Pre-Season game once on NFL Network a couple years ago, and I literally had to tape a couple of sheets of paper over the bottom couple inches of the screen so I wouldn't see the score.

If you need to kill some time beforehand, without worrying about seeing the score on your screen ... I noticed Larry the Cable Guy has a Comedy Channel stand-up special an hour or two beforehand ... at least on West Coast DirecTV.

I got it really simply ... by using my DirecTV program guide ....

I searched all the likely channels at kickoff time ... and found it a bit later on NFL-Network. I think Friday is a light nite for games ... so they picked it up on delay. Most games are Saturday nite.

You know what really pisses me off, they aren't airing the game until midnight, meanwhile the shows preceeding the game are 'how to be a cheerleader', 'in their own words', and some other bs.

I don't get the NFL network at all, but they need to make MAJOR changes, overall I have trouble watching any of their programs and I love anything about football. It's all just hokey fluff and nonesense.

Not to mention the fact that they NEED TO GET RID OF ROD WOODSON, how can they not see how awkward and terrible he is. C'mon!

Ya, the NFL network is pretty lame so far. Even their signature show with Rich Eison and TD sucks. Hey, I have an idea. Let's put a bunch of football players on camera together and listen to them crack jokes between some white guy's very dry and un-insightful commentary?

Oh, and to top it off, We'll have Adam Gimp-Ass Schefter from the DPO as our lead reporter on the scene. I just love when he interjects pictures of himself sitting there in a suit during interviews.

Over on the other Broncos forum I learned of a site on the internet called streamtvnow.com that claims to have at least 90% of the NFL games streamed live from their site. It's like 4 bucks a month (you can also view it free on the site but i couldn't figure out how to do that, and theirs some catch to the free viewing) and i am not sure if they have the game yet or not, thier schedule for that day won't be up till tomorrow but for those that don't get NFL network and don't live in Denver like me (New Orleans) it's my only hope of seeing the game live or as close to live as possible.

Last year they pulled the same crap with two Broncos preseason games.

I watch some of you guys rave about the NFL Network and I shake my head. Yeah it's better than not having it at all, but to me it is the biggest disappointment on TV.

Time Warner is already dumping the channel because the ratings are so piss poor.

That out of touch selfish prick Sabol, would rather show 12 hours of NFL Total Access, and shows about cheerleaders, than show the real history of the game.

So far the ratings are horrible for the network, and they need a quick blood transfusion to make it better.

The Channel is a C-, when it could easily be an A ****ing PLUS!!!

Not trying to be a buzzkill, but the press release from two days ago says the Lions Broncos game will not be shown on NFL Network until this coming Wednesday.

Last year they pulled the same crap with two Broncos preseason games.

I watch some of you guys rave about the NFL Network and I shake my head. Yeah it's better than not having it at all, but to me it is the biggest disappointment on TV.

Time Warner is already dumping the channel because the ratings are so piss poor.

That out of touch selfish prick Sabol, would rather show 12 hours of NFL Total Access, and shows about cheerleaders, than show the real history of the game.

So far the ratings are horrible for the network, and they need a quick blood transfusion to make it better.

Beerslug, yes it may be different than what they show at the NFL Network website.

Last year there was a thread about NFL Network showing the 49ers Broncos game in HD. A bunch of us were all pumped up and they showed a completely different game.

I wouldn't go by the Cable listings or the NFL Network listings, I would look at the press release link I gave.

Beerslug, yes it may be different than what they show at the NFL Network website.

Last year there was a thread about NFL Network showing the 49ers Broncos game in HD. A bunch of us were all pumped up and they showed a completely different game.

I wouldn't go by the Cable listings or the NFL Network listings, I would look at the press release link I gave.

I'll be watching NFL Net at Midnight Saturday AM hoping I'm wrong, but I won't hold my breath.
Well, there is quite the discrepancy between the two listings!

I watch some of you guys rave about the NFL Network and I shake my head. Yeah it's better than not having it at all, but to me it is the biggest disappointment on TV.

Time Warner is already dumping the channel because the ratings are so piss poor.

That out of touch selfish prick Sabol, would rather show 12 hours of NFL Total Access, and shows about cheerleaders, than show the real history of the game.

So far the ratings are horrible for the network, and they need a quick blood transfusion to make it better.

The Channel is a C-, when it could easily be an A ****ing PLUS!!!

Yep, the NFL is saying two different things. On one page (http://tinyurl.com/l6ur9) they say only certain games (12 airings) will be shown and on the other (http://tinyurl.com/f7wcr)they say more games (25 airings) will be shown.


Hopefully, we can go by the calendar which lists 25 airings through the 16th!

If you need to kill some time beforehand, without worrying about seeing the score on your screen ... I noticed Larry the Cable Guy has a Comedy Channel stand-up special an hour or two beforehand ... at least on West Coast DirecTV.

You know, I have been doing some research on NFL products and torrents and I do not think its a good idea for any of you to download NFL stuff this year from torrent sites. Just giving you fair warning now.

You know what really pisses me off, they aren't airing the game until midnight, meanwhile the shows preceeding the game are 'how to be a cheerleader', 'in their own words', and some other bs.

I don't get the NFL network at all, but they need to make MAJOR changes, overall I have trouble watching any of their programs and I love anything about football. It's all just hokey fluff and nonesense.

DTV Sunday Ticket doesn't show pre-season games, never has..

And Sunday Ticket is just that "Sunday". They don't show games other days (the only caveat to that is when the NFL moves it's Sunday lineup to another day such as last year moving most of the Sunday games to Saturday for Christmas Eve instead of Christmas).
