2006 prime-time schedule
Below is the NFL's 2006 prime-time television schedule, as will be seen by the whole country. The regular season kicks off on Thursday, Sept. 7, when the Dolphins and new acquisition Daunte Culpepper face Ben Roethlisberger and the defending Super Bowl champion Steelers. The first Monday Night Football of the season will feature a double-header on ESPN when the Vikings take on the Redskins at 7 p.m. ET, followed by the Chargers battling the Raiders at 10:15 p.m. ET.

Yes. I believe it starts on Thanksgiving with the Donks visiting K.C.
I know that if a game is on ESPN then by law it must still be shown by the local affiliate...I'm not sure if the same holds true for games shown on the nfl network.

Here and in D.C., have NFL Network (212) on Direct TV...not sure if it's on Comcast or not. I'll get NFL Sunday Ticket when the season starts. It's kind of a dopey deal. They give you a 20 dollar a month break on the price if you buy early. Of course, if you buy early you're buying NOTHING, because there are no games! The amount you pay isn't credited and won't roll over to the regular season. So my thing is, who gives a rat's ass if you save 20 bucks a month for something that isn't even telecast yet? It's a stupid setup...when I talked to a rep about it they agreed it was stupid. It's like getting a savings of 20 percent off on an item I won't use yet. Anyway, I'll pay the regular price WHEN IM PAYING FOR SOMETHING.
