I know it's widely reported that Bell only wanted to play for the Broncos. . . and that he grew up watching him, just thought these were some interesting quotes.

After he signed with the Broncos, the equipment department told Bell that No. 30 was available. He took a step back and declined.

"He said he didn't deserve that number," Luchs said. "He said he wasn't worthy of it."

After the draft, Bell told other teams interested in signing him that he was waiting for the Broncos to call.

I have to admit, I easily get wrapped up in the 'story' so I am pulling for him all the way. Not to mention that what I hear about his running style should be spot on.

If I remember correctly, TD dropped because of his 40 time. I know it's too much to hope for another TD, be damn I'm hoping anyway.

I completley agree, what has impressed me most was him saying that "I haven't proven anything yet. I still have to go out and perform in the games." I also love it when he talks about the Broncos as an organization. He talks about the team with so much respect and almost a sense of awe.

Woah woah woah....I leave town for a few days and Mike Bell has become TD around here. All off season I read rediculous conversation about what a bad ass Ron Dayne was going to be this season. You know who you are.

Bell definetly shined the first few days of camp that I saw and he definetly has continued to do well based on what I'm reading from the last few days but I gotta believe some of this hype is the "mastermind" doing a little posturing to motivate Dayne/Bell 1 and to make the statement..."Denver has 3 rbs that are capable of being starting RBs for the the Denver Broncos...NFL BEWARE".

I was definetly impressed with Mike B and being a Tucson guy myself I'm pulling for him 110% if not more but I'd like to see Mike Bell atleast gain ***1YARD**** in the NFL before we proclaim him the next savior of our running game.

Training camp is one thing and pounding out 112 yards agains Pittsburgh/NE/ INDY in the playoffs is another. I've never seen a rookie being handed a rushing title in August yet.

I think the kid can do it but I'm just trying to ground all the "I knew Mike Bell was going to be a badass last year talk, I knew Bell was the man in June talk, I knew Bell was the shiat the second day of camp talk-That was me;D " etc etc etc

I saw a couple of Mike Bell runs and I have to admit I was shocked this kid fell to us. I don't follow players until they hit the roster. Mike Bell could be fun to watch. He could another Todd Devoe. I don't know.

The Broncos do not have a running back on their roster that impresses me and Mike Bell might not be the solution but he certainly brings into focus the question.

Very true Meck. I am very happy to see him with a great attitude as that was the knock on him from inside the AZ athletic department. I hope he enjoys playing for the Broncos and the problems at AZ were strictly a result of the turmoil in that program. I hope he does develop into a great one. It would be a great story.

Great posts. Like I said before I'm pulling for him, but I worried people are putting unreal expectation on him. I think people need to realize he is a rookie, he going to make mistakes and wear down. My goals for him is to make the team, play well on ST, learn the game. Anything else is gravy.

Atlas is most likely going for the Chef edit of the Jerseys- duck tape over the name and use a Sharpie to spell out M Bell. ;D
