Just watching the news tonight. Cedric Benson was injured after making a reception on a dump off during tonight's practice. After making the catch and heading a few yards upfield, Brian Urlacher made light contact with him as another defender bumped him from behind. According to the report, Benson's left arm went limp and it appears to be a shoulder injury, though the severity is unceratin at this point.

The Bears might be hurting for RBs soon...

I know it's still early, but Benson's looking as though he's headed towards the scrap heap with the other recent 1st round Bears RB's, Curtis Enis & Rashaan Salaam.

The question is if this kid will suck worse then Rashaan Salaam or worse than Curtis Enis.

Yeah...
There goes any hope of getting Thomas Jones, but I don't want him now that the Bell's are doing well in camp. Their 3rd string, Adrian Peterson is still pretty solid, though. He did well last year when he had to come into the game. I even think he had a 100-yard game, though he didn't have a start.

I hate to say it but Cedric Benson makes his idol Ricky Williams seem downright stable. The crying at the draft, the breaking-and-entering arrest, etc. I was never all that impressed with him here. I thought he made most of his yards because the Longhorn OL was so good and because the defenses had to be concerned with weapons like Vince Young and Roy Williams that could kill you with one play. Benson could bleed you to death but it was a four-yards-at-a-time sort of death. That works against Rice and Baylor. It doesn't work in the NFL.

If nobody else is going to say it, then I will: put this guy on the scrap heap with Enis and Salaam.
Whew.... Atleast I got Thomas Jones instead of Benson in Champ24's fantasy league :)

Sounds like Urlacher and Brown put a cheap shot on their teammate and ended up getting him injured. Didn't even sound remorseful about it afterwords.
I don't care if you think one of your team mates is the biggest asswipe on the planet, fact is he your teammate and probably starting RB. Morons.
Now if he's a smart ass QB who needs to be decked...then go ahead just don't injure his hands, arms, or shoulders.
