Interesting about Marshall looking to be Number 4. In that case I would presume we're looking at:
1. Smith
2. Walker
3. Watts
4. Marshall
Any other ideas?

We're dead in the water without Bambi.
It's nice to know SI thinks DWill is 5-8.
Who's Bambi?

Who's Bambi?
I think he's referring to Ashley Lelie...

Lilly. He's soon to be orphaned. Bambi will soon be left to fend for himself...
I guess they do list DWill at 5-8.

At the risk of going on about Lelie I just hope someone comes in for him soon, we need some value from him.

Shanahan has a rather evil side he might of caught from Evil Al. 14K a day keeps the Turk away. We can fine him about a million dollars by the time the regular season starts. I'm starting to think that's exactly what Shanahan is going to do.
I'm sure we have had offers...it's sad he made himself an example, but he only had one more year on his contract. Why not put half a million back into the coffers?

You think he would sit the whole season?

No team is gonna give Lelie a #1 slot... he simply hasn't earned it yet. He needs to shut up and give the Broncos the best performance he's physically capable of ... and then next year when he is a FA, maybe some team will see his potential. The holdout will put him in Shanny's doghouse which translates to no playing time, or in simpler terms, no chance to impress next year's potential suitors.

We can't afford to with Walker still hobbled!
http://www.denverbroncos.com/page.php?id=969
On the TV thingy,. I keep hearing Walker is looking All Pro so far. BooYah! I guess Scheff is shining too. Hopefully we will get to see Rod Smith catch a pass or two from Blade before he retires.
I'm completely amused with the morons that said he was coming along "slowly" when the whole time he said he was right on schedule. I'm glad they cleaned up the knee...it will prevent arthritis...see ya later Bambi...the Marshall's in town and he's with Javon and Rod.
My honest opinion is that Shanahan has been turning down offers for two reason. He's pissed at Bambi, and He knows that some WR's are going to go down. There is absolutely no reason to throw him away for nothing.
Walker is burning everything in his sight. I wish he would calm down a little. He's running like a damn rabbit out there, with better cuts than Lelie ever has or will make. He can obviously play the game. Let's not push him too hard. We get it Javon...your Baack...idle the throttle down a tad. You too DWill.

At the end of that SI article it talks about a movie crew in town and Josh Hartnett playing a sports reporter in the film and at the end of practice interviewing Plummer..............Is it just me or does it seem like there is more distractions this year.......such as.......the Wall Street Journal guy practicing with them? To me that is just so uncharacteristic of Shanahan.

Englewood, Colo., where the Denver Broncos train at their team headquarters.
Here's the Drill
1. It's been billed as a competition but the talk is that Darrent Williams should beat out Dominique Foxworth for the starting right cornerback spot opposite Champ Bailey. Williams is a more physical player (even though he's three inches smaller than the 5-11 Foxworth) and he also has the explosiveness to cover ground when the ball is in the air. That said, Broncos head coach Mike Shanahan says both will be playing plenty. "I see them both as starting cornerbacks," says Shanahan, who drafted both players in the 2005 Draft. "We see so many multiple-receiver sets that they could both be on the field when the games begin."
2. The Broncos are expecting offensive tackle Adam Meadows to arrive in camp by Tuesday. Shoulder problems forced him into retirement the last two years but now he's feeling healthy enough to return to the game. Meadows had been preparing to play with Carolina before the start of 2004 before he decided to quit. Prior to signing a free-agent deal with the Panthers, he started 61 games for Indianapolis during his seven years with the Colts. Look for him to eventually push starting right tackle George Foster for a job.
3. Rookie running back Mike Bell has been a pleasant surprise in training camp so far. He's shown toughness, a strong burst through the line of scrimmage and he's comfortable in Denver's zone-blocking scheme (Bell played in a similar system at Arizona). An undrafted free agent who played in a lousy offense in college, Bell is already practicing as the team's third running back behind Ron Dayne and Tatum Bell.
4. Another rookie, fourth-round pick Brandon Marshall, is also moving up the depth chart. The 6-foot-4, 222-pound receiver from Central Florida has so much size, speed and play-making ability that he carries the nickname "Baby-T.O." He struggled with leg cramps midway through one-on-one drills Monday but coaches aren't concerned with short-term ailments. They envisioned him as an H-back when they drafted him. Now he looks like a good bet to be their fourth receiver.
5. Broncos wide receiver Rod Smith spoke with camp holdout Ashley Lelie a couple days ago. Lelie didn't participate in the Broncos' offseason workouts and he hasn't shown up at training camp as he tries to force the team into trading him. Smith said he didn't talk about the holdout during their conversation -- they mostly discussed how each other's families were doing -- and he told Lelie that he's still supported in the locker room. "Nobody on this team is against Ashley," Smith said. "Some people might be confused about why he's taking such a drastic stance but nobody dislikes the guy. I've also told him that I wouldn't do what he's doing. I like working."
Factoid
Denver ranked 22nd in the league in third-down conversions (36.2 percent).
Fantasy Geek Note
Dayne is the front-runner to be Denver's number one back this season. He's run with more authority in camp than his competition, Tatum Bell, and he has the size to handle a heavier load. Unless Bell really impresses during the preseason games, he'll be looking at another year as a change-of-pace back.
Camp Confidential
A movie crew that has been filming in Denver attended Monday's morning session. One of the stars of the film, Josh Hartnett, is playing a sports reporter and he actually interviewed quarterback Jake Plummer for a scene after the Broncos finished that first practice.

I dont know about that. I think its more likely to have something like
1. Smith
2. Walker
3a. Watts
3b. Marshall
I like Watts in the open field a little bit more, better seperation and is more difficult to cover 10 to 15 yards of the line.
Marshall though has a big body and hops, he is strong and fights off CB. He would be sick in the Red Zone, fades, slants, those are both routes that Marshall is just awesome at. Watts seperation doesnt come into play as much because the field is condensed and there is more clutter in the middle of the field. Watts is decent at fighting for the ball but he isnt as strong or as tall as Marshall.
Personally I hope Marshall is the number 3, love the size and toughness, Walker can be used to stretch the field, Rod the possession guy, and Marshall the slot. That would be killer with Shefler, the second fastest TE in the draft running the seam.

Elway has a cameo in the film.

One thing I know for sure, I want us to be shot of two of Devoe, Terrell and Adams when we get the cuts.
Preferably Terrell and Adams in my opinion.

My preferred receiver Depth Chart:
1. Smith
2. Walker
3. Marshall
4. Watts
After that I'm not too worried, probably whoever impresses most the next few weeks.
