This is from "The Israel-Arab Reader", a collection of documents pertaining to the history of the situation. This is not a history book with spin, opinion, it's the actual documents, White papers, etc.

p. 385 - a paper by Y. Harkabi titled "Al Fatah's Doctrine":

"Fatah's recognition of the right of a Jewish minority to exist is nothing new. It recalls the fundamental Islamic position, which grants the Jews security on the condition of their subordination as a tolerated minority."

This is the most generous language from the Arab point of view. Check it out - that is the most generous you'll see. And what it basically means is the Arab will allow a Jew to live, and that's about it. Very unpleasant people.
