He got really frustrated with the depth chart at LB.
He wont be allowed to go to a BCS school though.
I think the coaches mishandled it as usual. They should have made him a DE instead of a LB. He was a ferocious pass rushing LB/hybrid DE in high school. He wouldnt have to think as much, just rush the passer and wreak havoc in the backfield. It's difficult to go from that to being asked to play a number of pass coverages and be expected to make two different reads in a split second. He would have been an awesome End at the U.
I still think he will wind up in the NFL, in fact I have no doubt about it.

Heh.
He's actually been a class act and a good student at the U. Unfortuneatly, he is playing the same position as Jon Beason, our best linebacker and possibly our best player on the entire defense.

Probably the latter. I misspoke earlier, UM will allow him to go to a BCS school, just not an ACC one. Rumors are that he may go to Tennessee or Louisville.

Vols have 3 stud LBs from the 2005 senior class. 1 may even start thsi year. If Williams comes, he'll have to battle for a spot there too.

Yes. They have not yet responded to his request to transfer, unlike the other 3 schools.
