That Rams game on Opening Day is going to be a lot tougher than people think. If the Broncos get caught looking ahead, they'll get beaten.

That Rams game on Opening Day is going to be a lot tougher than people think. If the Broncos get caught looking ahead, they'll get beaten. Yes. However I think that the boys will be pissed about last years' opening and that they'll come out ready. I think we'll win it. If we do lose, it will be closer than last years' debacle.

4- Rams, Pats, Colts, and Steelers

Possibly Baltimore too

Theoretically, SL is a good team, but you never know. There's always a lot of pressure to win the opener. I'm thinking right now this will be a looser, more confident team than I've seen for quite a few years. So I think we'll see less mental mistakes. Therefore, better all around play. Therefore, 16-0, baby.

Hard to argue with impeccable logic like that.

I don't care if we finish 11-5 or 13-3, additional wins are just pure gravy. I just can't wait to see this year unfold - what do we got another month or two or three, damn!

The best part about this year is we haven't lost anything to the Raiders, the Chiefs still have some major holes and the Chargers gave up their main passing threat! Finally the AFC WEST will be ours for the next 2-3 years and when Jay Elway gets in his groove we'll be Champs again and again! As a fan I feel really spoiled but it should make up for the years of pure frustration experienced as a pre-pubesent teen wearing my burnt orange Broncos sweats with unlaced high-tops.

As of right now, Seattle is a better team on paper and on the field. That may change by Game 12, but right now I'm penciling that one in as a loss.

someone pull up the prediction thread for the same thing last year and everyone thought DEN would be lucky to go 500. You never know how hard or easy a schedule will be and what injuries a team will have.

Losses in first eight: at NE, at PIT, BAL, possibly IND but thats a tossup, so yeah 5-3 or 4-4.

You might beat St. Loser, but there are potential losses against Cleveland and Baltimore, too.

And one other game.

I hate these damn predictions anaysis from these so called experts. Every year their wrong for about half the teams they got in the playoffs. I will be happy if the broncos are 6-2 or 5-3 for the first 8 games. Their alot of good teams we face in the front part of our schedule and some them will come out with a chip on their shoulder. IE Pats

Last year's schedule looked fairly brutal. We went 13-3. Hard to predict how things break down. Broncos could be 0-8, 8-0, or anything in between. Dont predict until traning camp. Then you have a better idea of what the team will be.

I do not predict the games well at all. I also believe that it is nearly impossible for the "experts" to predict anything beyond the fact that there will be a season unless the San Andreas Fault slips too badly.

It seems to me that the "experts" do not talk about the Broncos very much because I think they are hard to predict. That, and the fact that Shanahan doesn't do the things the experts think he should. Plummer? How many thought he was an absolute bust or mediocre at best? And then the go against all the grains and gert to the AFC Championship game. Now that was an absolute grinder for some of those "experts", ya know? But it is nice to just play the games and see what happens....

Even our resident arseholes, Boob and Sarcrapto, cannot believe that the Broncos keep on winning, and seem to be poised for future greatness with the Cutler pick, a bold move that their own organization simply does not have the vision, fortutude or imagination to pull off. But it doesn't mmatter what you or I were to predict, it depends on so many factors that it makes little sense to try at this early stage.

Hmm, let's see.

The last 4 years we have started the season at 21-3 so I would guess we have a pretty good chance at going 5-1 to start things rolling along this year.

2005: 6-1
2004: 6-1
2003: 5-0
2002: 4-1

Yeah, I was worried about this game as soon I seen the schedule. We have a rough first half to be sure with the Colts, Steelers, Patriots and Ravens to go yet.

I had us going 11-5 before the season started, with our 5 losses being:

@ NE
Indy
@ Pitt
@ KC, and either
Seattle or Cincy

But now that we lost to STL, that would mean 10-6.......AND seeing how Baltimore played and their success against us.....we could be 9-7......OUCH.

defenseman
09-11-2006, 07:26 AM
I had them 3-5 at the half way point, at best 4-4. I also have them going 7-1 in the final half of the season, to end up 11-5 and in the playoffs, or 10-6 and out of the playoffs...dman
