YOu can just rank them and hope for the best if you wont be here....I did that in one league last year...normally for live draft you do log on but if you are not here it will go by your rankings and who is available by their rankings after yours are used up!

Hmmm dont know I just went in and looked at the team list. When you click join a league it just asks for the League ID, which is 129865, and the pass, which is 123456.

I agree I hate the leagues that most owners just give up half way through and don't stay active. I don't see that happening in this one.

There is a little bit of skill of drafting players and positions and knowing when to draft them but it is mainly just some good ol' fun.

Always take kickers early. There is a world of difference in a top ranked kicker and a lower ranked kicker. Also ignore that pesky rumer that RB's are valuable, come on now they all do the same thing so why draft one high?

I've only done the standard yahoo leagues against random people as well. I think this is going to be a tough draft with picking a couple defensive players. I've never did that I'm going to have to check out the scoring rules to see what players should be good.

I vote for a restart same draft day but convert back to the general positions. 2 qb's a week at 14 teams is 28 qb's that gives us a total of 4 back up qb's that play same goes with the kickers. When off weeks hit people are screwed. Also it is hard to find one TE that helps much less 2. I am game to try the def. players if others do as well.

I was a little skeptic with the 2 K's, TE's, and QB's starting also.

Read back through this thread....some of us had the same issue. You are probably clicking on the link to take you to the paid leagues. You need to make sure you are clicking on the liink to the right for the free leagues.

I'd rather do a live draft too than autodraft and don't really care if the draft is tomorrow or the night before the season starts. Yes I know there will be at least some people missing no matter when we do a live draft. I'm not the commish so whatever we do is fine I just think everyone in the league would need advanced notice if things get switched around.

I guess its still on for today. I was just over at the league making sure we were doing it today myself and I saw your message about the 1 point completion. The wr also get 1 point per reception. Good thing I was made aware of that.

My vote would be that we move the date, since there are several that can't make it today. I always like having it a little closer to the season, too. You get some preseason injuries, surprise benchings, etc, that are hard to anticipate.

By accident I drafted Eli and Jake before I realized they have the same bye week. So one of them could be available for the right offer.

Ashley Lelie is available as well. He could sit out all year or he can he become the #3 wr for the Broncos and get lots of single coverage that could lead to big fantasy points or he can be traded to somewhere like Philly where he can be the #1 wr and put up big points with Mcnabb throwing to him. ;) Guess thats the risk anyone can take by trading for him ;D

As far as I can tell the def. player scoring is pretty basic, big reason I took 3 high tackle LB's and advised my wife to do so as well.

Gosh, I've got some work to do to get out from under most of the CRAP players I got. It'll show me to actually go out on a Friday night rather than put my players in order... *sigh*

Yeah...I need to offload a couple of QB's....and somehow redeem myself there. Sheesh. If I make it anywhere but last place I'll be shocked! But, I haven't given up hope yet. :strong:

Yeah, I could...but, I'm kinda scared to let go of the few good players that I do have!

I may just have to hope for a miracle and a break through season for a few players (and dare I say an injury or two??) :~ohyah!:
