I think Kevin Spacey is going to make a fantastic Lex Luthor.

Well, I'm not so sure. Bryan Singer has a great record as a director true, but for whatever reason, this movie has taken 10 years to finally get off the ground and it seems like it could be set up as a dud. I'll probably wait and see how the rottentomatoes meter goes before I think about it since most the time it helps me. I do hope it comes off well. I'd hate to think it will suffer by comparison with the Richard Donner directed Superman movie.

On a side note, went and saw Cars this weekend. I remembered then, why I never go to the theater any more.... cell phones, loud, flatulent kids running rampant, obnoxious laughers, talkers, and dumb parents....

Hope it's good. I grew up to the originals and Superman was always my favorite. I like that they are staying with the original soundtrack.

I am planning on going to the Citywalk in a few weeks to see it on the IMAX. I can't freaking wait. Originally I had planned on going to the El Capitan in Hollywood to see Pirates of the Caribbean, that was before I saw Superman was going to be on the IMAX.

I can't ever get The Seniorita to go to a movie anymore... She's either too tired or uninterested. So mostly, I go to only movies I really want to see, and when I do, I catch the late, late showing (starting at around 10pm). It works out great if I wait until the second week to catch the flick. Usually, I'm in an empty theatre with no one to bother me but my own bag of Sour Patch Kids crinkling as I jam in for the next bite of sour goodness... :)

Only the main title and credits will be the same. This movie is supposed to be a "sequel" to Superman 2, SM3-4 never happened, they are calling it a vague history. I don't want to get too spoilerish but it's really a rehash of the first movie with a few twists and bigger effects, the story seems a bit dumb.

2 weeks, baby.

It's showing in Imax3D. Will definitely have to check that tout.

Believe me, a krinkle now and then is no biggie... its those blasted cell phones with the ultra bright lcd displays that could light up a distant star that bug me. Well, that and the stupid kid they hire with their little wand checking the aisles right in the middle of a big scene...

That's what you get for seeing a movie targeted for kids. Granted, there are a lot of obnoxious, inconsiderate adults in the world. However, you might get in less trouble for bitch slapping an adult...

Gotta agree with Crush on this one. While his Max Headroom avatar demands respect, he also makes a good point. You don't go to a family film targeted specifcally at kids and expect things to be quiet.

Next time go to a really late showing and there will be fewer kids, most of which will fall asleep.

At the midnight showing? And believe me, it could have been damn near any movie in theaters and the same stuff would have happened... horror!

God, but I love the drive-in. No hassles but the ones you bring with you and no dropping $50.00 on a tub of popcorn and two sodas!

I hate movie theaters. I don't know why drive-ins died. They rule. We used to go there all the time. OK, you guys probably remember this story, but anyway...My dad used to let me borrow his '77 hardtop Deville. This thing was pimp...Maroon over Maroon Valour...So me and Molly are doing the nasty and this guy taps on the window, she had hit the flasher! Ha! Boy did her face turn red! Drive in's rule! I imagine the one on Colfax is still open.

I just don't go to the theatre anymore. My home theatre is so much more enjoyable. Plus, they serve beer at my home theatre. I know.. I've seen me serve it.

I heard that superman is gay and has such a big wang that the studio wanted to retouch profile scenes so as to not upset parents.

funny stuff.

I hope superman is done as well as the last two spiderman movies and make for an exiciting movie series. But I am really looking forward to Pirates of the Carribean part two.

I have many fond memories of the old movies, heck even the old tv series. The entertainment and cheese factor in those movies was so much fun. here's something for the geeks: in Superman 2, when they are having the final battle in the fortress of solitude, you will notice superman raises up his arms and you see a huge sweat pocket underneath his pits -- classic glitch! Hilarious!

Sorry folks I'm not talking about Elway rejoining the team...
I have got my ticket already for tonights advance showing at 10 pm. I have a few mixed feelings about this film but I am trying to keep a open mind about it. Lots of differences between this film and the comic, in fact it is a sequel to the first two Superman films disreguarding 3 & 4. So if you have a chance to watch the older films before you go see this one it might help. Something that happened in the second film has a MAJOR impact on this current one.

Like Superman hasn't been married, died and sent to SmallTown on syndicated TV. Don't you know it was all an illusion like the Matrix? He's immortal as long as he makes money.

singer has a good track record with comics. he directeed both x-men 1 &2. they were pretty accurate to the storylines in the comics and everyone i know and read said that it was going to be good. also in regards to your movie theatre experience i agree totally except you left out the people who chew with there mouth open so everyone around them can hear them eating. it is the reason why home entertainment is so much better LOL

The first Superman movie with Christopher Reeve is one of my favorite movies of all time, so I am very skeptical that this one will live up to that. The effects, sure, will be outstanding I'm sure, but Reeve brought such a 'human' touch to the character. Plus, I don't know if I like this new guy, from the stills I've seen, he just doesn't look right to me.

When I saw the first preview for the Reeve movie, when they flashed the picture of Reeve in full Superman look, I swear, every woman in the theater gasped.

We'll see, I'll definitely go this weekend, but I'm dubious . . .

I got my hands on advance showing tickets for tonight and will put up some news when i'm back. I'm excited...I've gone to more movies in the past three weeks down here than I think I have in two years or more. I went and saw over the hedge...pretty funny, Cars(try to explain why three guys that are almost 30 were going to a sunday afternoon matinee and then we ran into our CO so explaining why 3 LT's were goin to a cartoon) But I liked it. And then I went to Click on saturday and really enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to superman. I liked the old movies and am hoping to enjoy the nastalga.

OH yeah I will get a review up here after the show tonight, only a hour away. They added another showing at the theatre and with the big convention this weekend here in Charlotte I expect alot of fanboys in line. I hope I don't have to sit next to someone wearing a cape like I did for the Star Wars movies.Hilarious!
