Well, an interesting scenario to say the least. I'm sure there are some ways around this though without firing bosses though given a bit of forethought on the departments part. One's in place should keep their pay/position, change the requirements for future hirings, provide the minumum bi-lingual training for the ones in place to ensuring the mission can be accoplished safely and expeditiously...dman

Why not just make the speaking of English a prerequisite for the job?

That works too. However, given the scenario as written, I'm sure the ACLU will be all over it with claims of inequality. But, that works fine for me. Like the politicians anywhere will buy into it though,not a chance...dman
