Calendar Girls of the Mane

So, it has been brought to my attention by sources that will remain nameless (for the time being), and by talk on another "girlie" thread, not to mention other ramblings here and there, that we have a request for a Girls of the Mane Calendar.

This does not mean that the girls will be in Bikini's (although, if they are comfortable with that, I'm certain there will be noone to hold them from that Ha! ), but we definitely would want this to be respectable and fun and, of course, could be a little on the risque/sexy side!!

First off, we need to find out if we have enough girls out there that would be interested in participating? What should the guidelines be in the gals that will be in this calendar? I mean, first, it is a Orange Mane thing. We want to make sure the gals frequent this site, right? Or just any gal? Should it be just for those that make the EGIBGB status? Post your thoughts here. Or, PM me. If you are interested, or would be willing to make the "sacrifice" to be a part of this, let me know!! Also, should it be confined to just "gals"?

Second question, Would you actually purchase one? The thought on this would be it could be sold for cost or cost plus a bit for a charity donation? Obviously we aren't looking at being any type of competition for our fabulous Broncos Cheerleaders, but it would be fun for our community and our tailgaters!!

Third, if we do decide to do something like this....we need some help behind the scenes to make it happen. Photographer (PEZ??) or just submit photos, printer, layout...heck, I have no clue what all we need to make it happen...but, I'd be willing to help organize it! Blueflame, your good with computer graphics...help?

Lastly, your ideas on anything else that could be added!! This is a shot in the dark...but, hey, could be fun!! After all, THIS IS OUR YEAR!!!

Besides, I think the idea of some sort of OMane calendar is a good idea...what sort of calendar...well, I've left that up to the folks here to come up with. So far, we are all over the map. It kind of seems that the general consensus is to let Pez be Pez at the next tailgate, add a lot of alcohol and see what we get!! :thanku: ;)

There are various omaners that travel in week after week and not just the KC game. Not to mention there are numerous away game gathering shaping up nicely.

I figured you guys were just joking around but a calendar that included as many members of this site as possible over the course of the year would be pretty cool IMO. Either way I'd be happy to support the project in anyway I can.

I will say this though. There is always a challenge getting a group picture together as people are always randomly coming and going during a tailgate. However if we had a pre-determined time (lets say 45 minutes to kickoff) then I know we'd be able to catch most everyone at once. Either way I think this is something we should do for all the home/away game tailgates this year. The group pictures are always the best.

Either way I think this is something I'd like to implement this year for the OF1/OMANE picture gallery data base we put together every year. The group pictures are always fun to look back on.

Meck, Great idea! I actually was thinking more along those lines this morning. We could pick all the home games through the first week in Dec. (since the next two games are away games) and then post those pics. Do a little bit of voting (maybe a week or so) and pick maybe two to three pics for each month. Maybe add a page or two at the back as a little collage of pictures and then put it up for sale on the mane. ALL PROCEEDS to go to TJ for upkeep in the site! That should give us the ability to have it out by the first week in Jan? I don't know how long it would take to put something like this together.

If I'm not mistaken, I think we'd be ok in doing this. Although, we would have to be careful on the "income" side of things. There may be some tax implications on this. But, I think I can work us around that for the most part. I don't think we'd have any legalities with the Broncos logos as those things are all over the place. I'm not sure if we'd need signed releases from those whose pictures appeared in the calendar. Hey, I know we have a law student on here...hmmm....I'll have to bug him! Tax wise, I can work it.

Thoughts? Other ideas?

There are various omaners that travel in week after week and not just the KC game. Not to mention there are numerous away game gathering shaping up nicely.

I figured you guys were just joking around but a calendar that included as many members of this site as possible over the course of the year would be pretty cool IMO. Either way I'd be happy to support the project in anyway I can.

I will say this though. There is always a challenge getting a group picture together as people are always randomly coming and going during a tailgate. However if we had a pre-determined time (lets say 45 minutes to kickoff) then I know we'd be able to catch most everyone at once. Either way I think this is something we should do for all the home/away game tailgates this year. The group pictures are always the best.

I buy one every year. I use it as a quick reference. I'm always needing to reference dates, and it's easier to just look at my wall than to pull out the daytimer, etc. At least that's my habit.

My wife does. She writes everything down on them, birthdays, appointments, vacations, paydays, you name it. Just her meticulous nature.

Nah, shorts ok, it isnt like they are the old OP shorts that sometimes I see a particular real estate agent wear in Mission Viejo (very 1979 look). Those shorts are long enough as they are right above the knee. How can you even notice the shorts with that f up hair? Supercuts must do it and they even make him come through the back door.

I hear Steve Carrel from THE OFFICE does a great photoshop if we "fake" the group photo. You had to seen the episode to get the joke. This calendar thing has some legs. Meck, is correct. You need all games and why not make a 16 month calendar so it sells better as it is longer (now 25% bigger). Just a thought. The calendar of each game area can give info on what members consider that THEIR GAME . Example: SoCalers would choose San Diego as their destination for that photo/month. Gives everyone an idea where we are located. Of course some are nomads if the Broncos arent coming to their town.
