Except for the "Hall of Fame" categories, discussed below, the awards will be presented for efforts & achievements that occurred between June 1, 2005, and June 1, 2006.

Awards will be as follows:

This is the Orange Mane Hall of Fame. (This year, we will induct four charter members, with an intention of adding two or three persons per year after that.)

Nominations will open today, and will continue through July 15, 2006.

There are two ways in which you can nominate someone (or some thread) as the case may be.

(1) Below this thread, in this forum, will be individual threads for each of the categories. You can post your nomination in the appropriate category.

(2) Or, if you want to remain anonymous, you can PM me with your nominations.

You can also "second" and "third" and "fourth" nominations, etc. In fact, this would be a good idea to insure that your nominated people reach the "finals."
If some category gets a zillion "tied" nominations, I will trim it down as fairly as possible - - taking into account people nominated multiple times, general variety, and so forth. But this particular part will be a matter of my unfettered discretion.


After the nominations are closed, I will create polls in this forum with the top nominations in each category for people to cast their votes for the winners. (The identities of the persons voting will not be disclosed.)

Subsequently, we will tally the votes and announce the winners!

90% of the nominations are from 2006 or LATE 2005. That doesn't even fall within your time frame posted. So, my question is...was that a typo? Or is everyone just not paying attention to the guidelines?

Reminder - tomorrow is the last day for nominations. On Sunday, I will post the "official" nominations in polls, and the voting will begin. We will leave the polls up for a couple weeks and then declare the winners in early August.

The site went down before I could close the nominations and post the polls, and I then left on a pre-scheduled camping trip. Just got back in town, and I'm still unpacking, but I'll try to get the polls up later this evening.

Watermock should be a slam dunk for the OM Hall of Fame this year. People didn't take his nomination seriously last year, for some unknown reason.

Nope, nothing ever came of it.

I've just been too busy this year to deal with it. Couldn't even host survivor this year.

The first year we did this it was a novelty. Less interest the second year, and after that it was pretty much left to me to try to scan through prior threads and posts to find good stuff.

I ain't got the time and with all the controversy going on with the regime change, drafts and trades, there were simply more important things going on.

Anyone is still free to nominate anyone in any category they want for anything, and if we eventually get enough posts, I'll post polls and whatnot, but I don't have the time to dress up in my rah-rahs and elicit it.
