View Full Version : Happy Father's Day!!!!!

I realize that Father's Day is still a couple of days away, but I want to make sure that every Father, Expecting Father, and Future Fathers as well as those who have fathers, have the opportunity to enjoy this wish! (OK, so that would be EVERYONE!!)

Here's to those Dad's that labor day in and out, without complaint (and sometimes with complaint). You give and give of yourself, often with nothing much in return. You are often times the silent (sometimes loud) backbone of the home. You are often the disciplinarian, most times unwantingly, but desperately needed! You do the dirty jobs that noone else in the house wants to do! And, by all means, why shouldn't you have football on Sunday mornings from mid August through the end of January (and every other football day)!!

Here's to those expecting dad's that get up in the middle of the night and make the run to the nearest 7-11 for that oh so needed craving! Here's to dealing with the wacky hormones we women tend to shove on you, especially at that time!

And, from those mother's out there raising a child absent of a father, THANK YOU to those who take the time to make an impact on these kids lives....even if only for a moment! It REALLY makes a difference!

This world needs fathers, they are a necessity in ANY child's life! Every child needs their dad....they need your strength!

Words just don't do justice the impact that you have...so, I say "THANK YOU"...and Happy Father's day!! :thanku:

That was extreamly well written and thought out.

Every year on fathers day the wife packs me and my son a lunch and sends us to the lake. Just a day of fishing and goofing off with my son is the greatest gift I could ever ask for.

Thanks!

My only tasks at home are to hand out Disipline & do all the dirty things the Wife doesn't want to do.

Here is a list:
Deal with Skunk
Pick up Dog ****
wash dog **** off dog
cut hair around dogs ass so dog **** does not stick to dogs ass
Clean carpets (dog vomit though no dog ****)
Deal with 2nd Skunk
put air in bike tires
Kill ants
replace Bedroom Celing fan
Hang large picture over couch
Stain new wood windows
Lay down law when I get home from work for Abby
all in last 2 months while working 12-16 hours a day.

In return Karen does everything else Plus I get lucky once in a great while so I guess it could be worse...I could not get lucky at all & or have to eat my own cooking!

I didn't realize that father's day was coming up so soon. Time is flying.

My pops has a 64 1/2 Mustang convertable that he bought new. It's in decent shape. Just needs a paint job, and a little engine work. It doesn't need much work at all. But my pops is dragging his feet on it. I'm going to get him going by getting him a couple hub caps that he has had trouble finding. I found them at a Mustang shop near by.

As for the day, my son and I will probably just hang out early in the day. We've been going to USC and working on patterns. He knows the entire passing tree and runs pretty good routes.

The family will all be at my pops house latter in the day. Should be cool.

Here's a couple pics of the kid in action.

A little boy goes to his father and asks "Daddy, how was I born?"

The father answers: "Well son, I guess one day you will need to find out anyway!

Your Mom and I first got together in a chat room on Yahoo. Then I set up a date via e-mail with your Mom and we met at a cyber-cafe.

We sneaked into a secluded room, where your mother agreed to a download from my hard drive.

As soon as I was ready to upload, we discovered that neither one of us had used a firewall, and since it was too late to hit the delete button, nine months later a little Pop-Up appeared that said:

You got Male!

Chris Rock:

That's right.
lf the kid can't read, that's Mama's fault.

That is Mama's ****ing fault.

Now, if the kid can't read
'cause there ain't no lights in the house...

that's Daddy's fault.

You got this **** down?

See, nobody gives a **** about Daddy.
There's some real daddies out there.

l'm not talking about the guy
that ****ed you and left.

**** him, okay?
l'm talking about the real daddies.

There's still some mother****ers out there
that handle their business.

Mother****ers wanna act like brothers....

There's some brothers
that handle their business.

'Cause people don't give a ****....
Nobody gives a **** about Daddy.

Everybody takes Daddy for granted.
Just listen to the radio.

Everything's ''Mama. Dear Mama.
Always loved my Mama.''

What's the Daddy song?
Papa was a Rollin' Stone.

Nobody gives a ****.
Nobody appreciates Daddy.

Now, Mama's got the roughest job.
l ain't gonna front.

But at least people appreciate Mama.

Every time Mama do something right,
Mama gets a compliment...

'cause women need to hear compliments
all the time.

Women need food, water, and compliments.

That's right.

And an occasional pair of shoes.

That's right. Women got to hear it
all the time, or they lose their minds.

And get Daddy to make sure
you thank your mama for everything.

''Tell your mama how good the food is.
Tell her how nice the house looks.

''Tell your mama how nice her hair looks.

''Did you tell your mama?
You better go in there and tell your mama.''

That's right! ''Tell your mama.''

Nobody ever tells Daddy ****.

l'm talking about the real daddies
that handle their ****ing business.

Nobody ever says, ''Hey, Daddy,
thanks for knocking out this rent.''

''Hey, Daddy, l sure love this hot water.''

''Hey, Daddy,
this is easy to read with all this light.''

Nobody gives a **** about Daddy.

l'm talking about a daddy that handles his
business. Nobody gives a **** about Daddy.

Think about everything
that the real daddy does:

pay the bills, buy the food,
put a ****ing roof over your head.

Everything you could ever ask for.

Make your world a better, safer place.

And what does Daddy get for all his work?

The big piece of chicken.
That's all Daddy gets...

is the big piece of chicken.

That's right. And some women don't want
to give up the big piece of chicken.

''Who the **** is you...

''to keep the big piece of chicken?

''How dare you keep
the big piece of chicken!''

A man can't work hours
and come home to a wing.

When l was a kid,
my mama would lose her mind...

if one of us ate the big piece of chicken
by accident.

''What the ****!
You ate the big piece of chicken?

''Oh, Lord! No, no.

''Now l got to take some chicken
and sew it up and ****.

''Get me two wings and a pork chop.
Daddy'll never know the difference.''

Back up to the top!

Tomorrow is Father's Day!! Did everyone get something for Dad?

I think a perfect Dad's day present would be the full previous season of Bronco's games on DVD....

What's everyon's plans for Dad tomorrow?

Tomorrow will be our first Father's Day without Dad... so I'm planning to spend part of the day with Mom to try to help her through a day that could be emotionally brutal.... and while I'm with Mom, hubby will be spending the day in a manner that he considers ideal... on the golf course with our sons.

Not sure how far you are from his resting place but a trip there with some flowers is a lovely rememberance. I try to do that on Holidays. It still feels like inclusion.

To those of you who still have your Dads, honor them well today. Treat them like what they are. One of the most important people you will ever know.

It seems almost unbelievable my Dad has been gone for over eight years now. The older I get, the more I realize how much like him I am. I find myself still learning things today that he tried to teach me so many years ago. I guess I wasn't ready to hear it then, and I guess he knew that. I'm still in awe of the courage and wisdom he showed me in the final years of his life. There's still more he can teach me, if I just listen.

God bless you, Dad.

Happy Father's Day to all of the Father's on the Mane.

Sometimes being a father isn't the easiest thing to do, but remember your children are learning from you all the time. I've learned valuable lessons from my father, I've also learned from his mistakes and each has helped me become a better father. I hope that my kids will take the good and learn from my mistakes and become even better parents, I guess that's whay being a father is all about.

Happy Fathers Day!!! I am soooo grateful for my Father and all that He has taught me and continues to teach me. I hope that I can be as good a fatehr to my three boys as he was to me. It's days like today that continue to reinforce the bonds we have with our children. I am lucky to be a father and to have been taught by the best. If I can impart 1/4 of what my Dad taught me, my children will be lucky.

I hope everyone has a great Father's day!!
