How much "focus" does it take to carry a clipboard?

Apparently for some, more than you give to "Modern Marvels."

I like BVP, he needs to talk a little less though. Too much repetition. I don't think he even knows what he's talking about.
"Okay, focus on focusing. Focus on focusing on focusing. Focus on focusing on focusing on focusing. Uh, what was I supposed to do? Uh, yeah, focus. Sweet..." - BVP

That was probably the funniest interview I have ever seen. He's like Rudy in the N.D. movie. His release is terrible, but that doesn't mean he might not be able to play backup. If ever a kid was miscast by God for size that should be a MLB it's him...he's got that Bonzai in him.... He doesn't have the speed to play safety.
I was in tears laughing. If he makes it or not, you can tell he loves it. Those eyes darting, it was so funny. Hey man, I used to sit around watchin' the history channel and whatever, 3-4-5 hours, I just pound a red-bull and power my way thru the hangover. I honestly think he would be amusing in the locker room and I'm sure the kid would go bonzai on special teams. Watch his eyes and mannerisms. He's learned alot in two years no matter what happens to him. Man that was funny. He's a MLB that just doesn't have the size. Too bad.

He's enjoying focusing, it might be the first time in his life he ever has. It's like a light came on in his noggin. He's enjoying every second of it. I found it refreshing and comedic.

Actually, he's taller than Al Wilson and only 20 lbs lighter (which he could easily make up). In fact his his dad was a pretty good linebacker for the Giants.
But he wants to be a QB, not a LB, which is why he left Michigan for Colorado State.

lol...dude ain't a QB...but he's a good athlete. I wonder if he could play another position? I loved his trick QB draw play...I laughed my ass off.
I doubt he sticks around though. Shanahan thinks he can get by with 2 QB's, so it'll be Jake and Jay. If someone gets hurt, I doubt BVP will have gone far.

I'd like to see BVP stick around. Hell stick him on special teams and let him go crazy. He reminds me of oger from Revenge of the Nerds a little.

That QB draw was very nice... BVP does bring a different dynamic to the QB position, but I do expect him to be pushed to #3 if he makes it through the roster cuts.

Does anyone else feel like they are listening to Dirk Diggler when they hear that interview?
"What can you expect when you're on top? You know? It's like Napoleon. When he was the king, you know, people were just constantly trying to conquer him, you know, in the Roman Empire. So, it's history repeating itself all over again."

Wow ... I read all the comments before I watched, and I was ready to laugh ... but he only said the word "focus" once by my count, and I found nothing comedic anywhere in it. Sure, he's an animated talker, but there's nothing wrong with that. In fact, he seemed to say all the right things.
I'll take bets right now that he's here for many years to come, for these reasons: both our starters/starters-in-waiting, Jay and Jake, are tough as nails and not likely to miss much time under center.
What BVP gives you as a backup is the following:
1. He's loud, dramatic and driven. Nothing's worse than a timid backup QB in this league ... he'll drag the whole team down when you need him most.
2. He's competitive as all hell, and Shanny LOVES that stuff. If you read his biography, he's like Norman Vincent Peale or Tony Robbins - he is driven! And he respects others who are. Did you see him smile when commenting on a drunken BVP acting like a fool at the Buffs-Rams game? I kinda doubt he'd have smiled had Griese pulled that crap.
3. Remember, BVP had a 92 QB rating in extensive pre-season work last year - 4 TDS, ZERO ints ... and I'll bet this year is similar.
4. He's cheap
5. After taking a run at Jeff Garcia last year, and a mini-run at Joey Harrington this year, we don't have anybody else, and finally:
6. BVP's ace-in-the-hole: This is his third year - he's survived the Garcia and Harrington runs, and now HE KNOWS THE OFFENSE. In Shanny's system, that's like money in the bank.
I'll make a friendly wager with whomever: BVP's the backup 'til 2012.

Wasn't BVP drafted out of highschool to play Safety? He would make a pretty good SS if you ask me. Not the fastest, but deffinatly athletic and not afraid to get hit.
