No landline ( no home phone) I cant get the sunday ticket .......... I wont get a Dish if I cant get the Broncos .........

DTV uses that to insure that their signal is not being stolen. Other providers have different methods of checking.

I wouldnt give up hope spider, i dont have a landline at my house and i get sunday ticket just fine, i would double check with them. some features may not be available. The one thing that may keep them from offering the sports packages is the whole blackout crap

I've had Sunday Ticket several years with no land line. Call them, they can do it.
The RV package is how I get DTV with Sunday ticket here in Baja is this phone thing a a new thing?

I believe you only need the phone -line to order pay-per view movies, special events, etc. I am pretty sure once you order the NFL ticket you don't need a landline anymore.
It’s been awhile, but I used to order any pay-per-view movies or events (boxing) on-line. Didn’t use the phone-line, but ordering from the TV menu screen with the phone-line is much easier, just a click or two are you are done.
I know with our DVR recorder, we have to have the phone-line attached all the time but that is because we get our TV schedule updated that way every few days, but it works without the phone-line we just don’t get the updates.

Iwill .............. Hell I have internet anytime any place , PS2 , DVD , satellite radio , etc ......... Iwas going to get Direct TV with the NFL package ;D

Phone thing is not new. I don't know what the RV package is but they must either have a different anti-pirating method or maybe they just don't care because they have few subs with that package. There is no technical requirement to have the phone line other than to verify the location of the receptor.
Spider - you may want to see if you can find a local installer and buddy up to him and see if there is a way around it.

If I understand it correctly...they only reason they do it this way(landline phone) is to take your money for payment...and no other reason. Seems that the dumbasses wopuld design their management system to take everybody's money...and not some peoples' money. I'm never ever getting a landline phone again...

I had Sunday Ticket/Superfan last year without having it plugged into the phone line. I agree with Garcia, normally that is only for ordering via the receiver.
Unless they changed something.

What exactly is the RV package? I've had an RV for 3 years w/ Satellite and have gotton the Sunday Ticket w/ no land line. I just have the reciever that is in my RV listed as "RV" on my account.

I haven't had a home phone for 3 years , yet have had Sunday ticket that whole time. The only reason to have landline is so you dont have to go to the internet or phone to order movies and special events.
You will be just fine!
