Just noticed the Orangemane forums are within 2,000 posts of a million. :thumbs:
I've been lurking around the forums for a while, but as my post count shows, I can't say I've contributed all that much.
Congrats to the OM when it reaches the milestone......

When you figure that 10,000 posts is 1% of 1,000,000, the math gets pretty easy from there...

Also, those post counts are skewed with regards to the total number of posts... We lost quite a substantial number of posts when we moved from the YaBB board to this one... A little over a full year's worth without losing post counts.
So technically, we've already surpassed one million posts in our history... But it's still fun that we're passing it here.

That's all fine and good, "mystery poster," but the way the system calculates the number of posts is by running a check against the database every X amount of minutes. In between these set periods, any number of posts can be made, depending on the activity of the site. This makes it virtually impossible to know who crosses the threshold of 1,000,000.
