Here's a 2006 season preview for the AFC West. This site also has a two-round 2007 Mock Draft.

interesting, thanks for the link. jeez raiders 2-14? hes rough on our whole division. 10-6 broncos, 9-7 chiefs, 6-10 chargers. thats a 3 win drop, 1 win drop, 3 win drop, and 4 win drop. pretty dramatic

He predicted Denver to go 5-11 last year. I suspect he'll be wrong again this year.

He's too rough on the Chiefs defense. Granted they are not going to be the 85 Bears or anything close to that, but they have pretty much nowhere to go but up in the rankings. He's too rough on the whole division as a whole.

Exactly.

I'd expect Denver to slip just a little, not much. Anywhere from 12-4 to 10-6.

I'd expect about 11-5 to 9-7 from KC.

Both records depending on being lucky/unlucky with the bounces and injuries.

No way to I see KC finishing higher than 11-5 or denver better than 12 wins. Our NFC games are a joke this year but our AFC games are tough.

I think the Jagwads fall back to reality and the AFCW sends both KC and Denver to the playoffs.

Besides, who wouldn't love to see a Den vs. KC slobber-knocker in the playoffs? :wiggle:

I'd love that. Last time that happened was 1997. KC in the playoffs is like a lucky rabbits foot.

At a guess, I'd say Chiefs fans. After all, the last one worked out so well for ya. Ha!

Interesting read.

Interesting read. I didn't think so.

I don't think he's watched one game from any of the teams. The writer displays a total lack of understanding for each team and what needs they have. A lof of his takes are based on looking at a stat sheet and not seeing how each team played the game. He seems to have some kind of bias against the AFC west since he predicts our entire division to do worse under a softer schedule. Every team's record he picked is low to horribly below realism.

It wasn't a great article but I think the AFC West could be down a little bit this year. Denver probably won't go 13-3 again this year KC is older at every position, The Chuggers got rid of their Probowl QB and the Faiders got another mistake prone QB and a retread of a head coach.

Vegas has Denver's over/under at 10 games.
I can see KC going 9-7
The Chargers could be in for a boom or bust season.
I do think the Faid will win at least 5 games this year.

New England, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, Seattle, Baltimore, and Cincinnati. These are the crucial games. If we don't go .500 we won't finish better then 10-6.

I agree we'll be down a bit but his predictions seem to tend toward worst case scenario for every team.

Zbikowski and Woodley would be fine picks for us.

Sep 10 @St. Louis -should win
Sep 17 Kansas City -should win(at home)
Sep 24 @New England-could be difficult but it just depends on how their personnel pans out
Week 4 BYE
Oct 9 Baltimore -should win(steve mcnair is a wild card but i say we still win)
Oct 15 Oakland -should win
Oct 22 @Cleveland -theyll be improved but should win
Oct 29 Indianapolis -a real test but if both are healthy, i like to think we win. the DBs will be the real test(plus its outside. any chance of snow?)
Nov 5 @Pittsburgh -this has got to be one of the toughest two game streches any team faces this year.
-----so at week 9 we are, at worst, 5-3 i say. 4 "guarantees" and 4 toss-ups really. i say that we are 6-2 and that is trying to be a non homer(its what we were last year too)

Nov 12 @Oakland -should win this one again
Nov 19 San Diego -should win(its at home and hopefully theyre in reconstruction mode)
Nov 23 @Kansas City-another tough two games start here but hopefully we jump out early and take the crowd out.
Dec 3 Seattle - SB loser curse? i hope so but doubt it. should be a late season test(sed that bout NYJ too)
Dec 10 @San Diego - once again, either a blowthrough or a challenge.
Dec 17 @Arizona - testing the DBs here. i would be very very confident if we hold them to under 200 yds since they averaged 270 something WITHOUT EJ
Dec 24 Cincinnati - another DB test, hopefully were in cruise control by then but if not, should be interesting and likely a must win
Dec 31 San Francisco - should be a win, cruise control or not
---3 "guarantees" in SD at home, @oak, and SF
---3 should be wins in @SD,AZ,and cinci
---2 toss ups in seattle and @KC

i see 10-6 as the worst we fall. 13-3 as a major accomplishment and im happy with 12. 11 would be OK depending on where we are seeded. i say that homefield is important so the 2 seed would be a very good, realistic goal to stride for. thoughts?

except for the fact that zbikowski could be doing boxing by then but hed be a great guy to have IMO. also samardzjia is close to for sure going MLB so i doubt he is drafted in the NFL. but its a year off, a lot could change
