I think the Bengals need a new PR person. I cannot believe they are letting him do this. If a Broncos QB ever has a "Cornhole Classic", I am not sure what I would do, but it would drastic! Hilarious!

Where's Beavis?

On June 17, 2006, Carson Palmer will host the first annual Carson Palmer Cornhole Classic presented by Cincinnati Bell and Huntington Bank to benefit his new charity partner, Lighthouse Youth Services.

The event begins at 2:00 p.m. on the Cincinnati Bengals practice field. Sponsors and guests will be treated to a unique event complete with amazing food and beverage, activities for all ages, prizes and giveaways, live entertainment by The Mukrackers and the opportunity to play cornhole against Carson’s teammates and other NFL friends.

Palmer developed the idea for the event soon after being introduced to the sport of cornhole while living in Cincinnati. “Shae and I got hooked on playing cornhole right after we moved out here. We have wanted to do an event that incorporates the sport for the past few years so we are excited that it’s finally going to happen,” said Palmer.

Over the past few years, Palmer has become passionate about using his success on the field to help abused and abandoned children. Lighthouse Youth Services is an agency that mirrors Palmer’s mission to help children who are not fortunate enough to receive the kind of upbringing his family provided.

“We are honored to be working with the Lighthouse Youth Services on behalf of the children. The people who work at Lighthouse are the true heroes and this is a great opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of the children,” said Palmer.

Palmer hopes the community will show Lighthouse the same compassion and support they’ve shown him through being a part of the Carson Palmer Cornhole Classic.

“I hope the Cincinnati community will support the children at Lighthouse the way they have supported me over the past few months. This is going to be an event unlike anything else in Cincinnati and we are so excited to share it with everyone. We will have a great time together while raising money for the children,” said Palmer.

Upon moving to indianapolis, they are cornhole crazy!
Apparently it's a big pasttime before the Indy 500

sounds dirty, but harmless beanbag tossing game.

This is actually really funny. My roomate is from Cincy, and he loves cornhole. He has couple holes he made himself. I had never heard of it until I lived with this kid. Apparently, that's all they do in Cincy.

Section G. Foul Corn Bags

I'm from Iowa and have never heard of it. Foul corn bags means you get docked at the elevator for spoiled grain to me...

We play a similar game on my wife's side of the family that we call "Holy Board." (or more aptly "Holey Board")

We play it with giant washers, and a board that has holes in it. You toss the washers at the holey board, and you get points depending on which hole it falls into. Been years since ole Pop pulled that thing out. Going to have to get him to bring it over this summer.

My husband and son already have T-shirts from their participation in the annual "Casshole" golf tournament (the guy who sponsors it... his last name is "Cass" LOL) It's a fun tournament because the last nine holes are played after dark, using "glow balls"....

Ive played that, the game is a blast. When I played it before we all got a little too competitive. ;D

My neighbor built a Bocce Ball court on the side of his house. Now that is a fn game.

Are you sure about that? You do live in Seattle. If you wear it, you better have your wife and baby with you for protection. Seriously, if it's for a charity, I will buy one. it's just too funny not to.

I took this pic at the Bengal game a couple years ago. In Denver people BBQ before a game. Over there grown men play cornhole with one another. Don't ask me.

The game is basically portable horse shoes. I think the name is intentially funny. I played this game many times, and I was going to give Meck a set for next season...I guess not.

The game is a blast. You can drink while doing it.

For those who don't know, I think a bunghole is the hole at the top of a keg of beer.....

We play a game like that too, TJ. We call it 'wachas' (like a mexican trying to pronounce washers!).
