USMC Scholastic Achievement Award. They cut out some pre-64 silver dimes and made her an honorary 5 star general or something. Ha! Hell if I know, but they didn't give money. U of Iowa came thru and 3 grant scholarships. I e-mailed the paper to see if I could get her picture, no response yet. I say that because in WW2 they promoted some no name behind the lines general noone has heard of to 5 stars so McArthur had his staff cut and buff two dimes to add to his arsenal without permission. A little known fact is he spilled alot of blood in his "I shall return tour" but the Phillipines were never actually completely taken. Putting your personal agenda of revenge is not the way to spill blood.
