Kerry didn't understand the depth of slime that Karl Roe goes to win. He should have called Bush duty in National Guard to forefront, followed by the fact that no member of Bush's cabinet, expect Powell, had served.

I guess he didnt , still doesnt cover the medal throwing , the SUV gaff in detriot and then in mass , while owning SUV's , but the military record .......... kerry should have dug in hard .........I am in longview texas right now motel 8 , I am hearing grumblings here about Bush , Iraq , abortion etc ........ Needless to say , if all this happened in 2004 , Bush has a hard time winning texas ...........

It's nice that Spider thinks that if Kerry had handled the Swift Boat guys' attacks differently, he'd be President, but that's difficult to say. Others can spend a lifetime on regrets, but that's not a good way to live, IMHO.

I suggest you reread the political forum , it is loosley moderated unlike the Main board that is PG13 ... Reading and understanding before entering a forum and posting is very helpfull , and how do you know what I talk about infront of my kids ? how do you know I dont make fun of queers in front of them ?

Um... actually the article linked proves without any doubt that the Paid Liars for Bush were the ones with the credibility problem. The media knew this and still gave them tons of airtime for their character assassination. I really hope Kerry sues O'Neill and his mendacious cronies for every penny. :)

Um, so why hasn't Kerry already sued them for libel, slander etc? Seems kind of like B*nds not suing anyone for libel or slander over the books that were written. I am not saying the article is not truwe, just strange that if it were 100% factual then it'dbe a slam slam dunk case. Me thinks the truth is somewhere inbetween, hence no law suit.

Um... I think the operative word here is there is no libel suit yet. The smearing of Vietnam veterans like John McCain, Max Cleland and John Kerry... on behalf of Republicans who saw no active duty... has got to stop. I can't think of a better way to put an end to it than to hit 'em in the pocketbook and it sure looks to me like John Kerry is assembling the evidence to do so.
So far I've seen absolutely no truth from the "Paid Liars For Bush"... just smears and innuendo.
