80-something nissan king cab truck

That thing was a piece of crap, three shades of red. finally crapped out on me while I was on the freeway, kinda felt something snap, was lucky to be able to get to the side of the road and call my folks... but it led to me getting my current car, so that was good.

1968 VW Bug. About 6 mos after I got it I was out partying with friends and got too shiat faced to drive, so a friend drove me and a few others home in my car. We never noticed the fan belt had broken and smoke was billowing out the back. End up finally catching the car on fire (we all got out unscathed) and burning it up. Had to go home and tell mme parents I destroyed my car while out drinking at 16. They never punished me though figuring the loss of the car was enough. Was a couple of years later before I could afford another vehicle...

My first was a 76 Ford Van with a 351, but I smashed it into the gargae before I got my license so my Dad sold it and I ended up with a Honda civic wagon. I was lucky tho, my Grandpa had a body/paint shop so I went thru cars liek they were going out of style.

My first car was an 82' jeep CJ-7, it restoration project then took it to moab, ut for a run then later on I had transmission problems. I had to sell the damn thing because the transmission was a problem, took it in 3 times and that hit my wallet pretty good. Looked exactly like this-

My first car was my father's dark green 1969 Pontiac Firebird. It was not a fancy model but it was sweet for it's time. I actually had a guy try to buy it from me while we were doing 60 MPH down a Houston freeway one night. It died with about 90,000 miles on it.

Black leather interior and Houston heat are a bad mix though. You can burn the backs of your legs wearing shorts.

81 Toyota Celica......She was rough but man she was relentless. It's weird but those early model Japense cars are actually becoming collectors items now. I search the net from time to time to see if I can find a nice old 81 and it's rare to even see one for sale anymore.

If anyone sees an 81 online let me know. It's harder to find than you may think.

A 1986 Pontiac Sunbird GT...I loved that damn car, head lights flipped up, I had a car bra, did my own tint job so dark you couldn't see in, I had red mood lights inside that I rigged to the dash dimmer, I had two Blaupunt 3.5's in the dash and matching tweeter installed right above the seat belt harness. two Alpine 3way 6x9's and two 12 inch Kicker woofers in the trunk. I had a 1000 watt Orion amp powering the subs and Fosgate punch powering the rest. I had a Pioneer deck the full face one special made for GM cars.
My friends always knew when I was coming cause the could hear CCR or Jimi Hendrix playing about 3 minutes before I pulled up.

haha-My 1st car was a 1970 VW Bug-an talk about $hitty moments, listen to this one!

I grew up on a farm near a small town south of the Twin Cities. I was going to a keg party one night and driving down this little country lane looking for the party I drove right into a farmer's pile of manure. That was bad enough, but after I backed out of that and proceeded down the road, I hit a skunk! My car smelled like a combination of skunk and the worst cow farm you've ever driven past. That baby had a unique smell for weeks:homer:

Haha, mine was an 87 Plymouth Horizon. It didn't have a side mirror on the passenger side, it wasn't missing one, it never had one. Then one day I got ticketed by a cop that said I had too many stickers on my back window for a car with only one side mirror. Talk about obscure laws.

89 Mustang. NOT the 5.0 GTs of that era mind you, but the crappy LX's with the wired hubcaps and the four banger engine. Red on Red. Bought if for $600 w/150k miles on it. Automatic Transmission went kaput on the side of the freeway in Tacoma, WA @ 256k miles. Left it, and never looked back.

'71 Ford Pinto and followed that up by getting a '72 Pinto. Actually two of the best cars I've ever owned. I even got rear-ended in the '72 and nothing happened except the car got totalled. Considering it was a full sized 1970 Chevy pickup that plowed into my backside, I'd say I faired pretty well.

92' Chevy S-10 extended cab 92K miles. Maximum interior occupancy 11, no joke. It took about a min and a half to get up to 60mph and only used 15 gallons to do it. Went through 6 clutched between soph and senior year of high school. Crappy truck but great memories.

Those were very solid cars and the 396 was virtually bulletprood.

I had a 71 Cutlass S then a 72 Cutlass Salon that had white velour interiour...then after I wrecked both of them I got a LeMans 400 short block that was insanely fast. Wrecked that one too. I also wrecked two demos. a GT Corolla and a Forerunner.

I was a regualar Tony Stewart for awhile. I bought this ditzo girlfridnd a Celica and she wrecked it, we actually got more than we paid for it, but then I got her this thing called a Colt. It was a tin can but had this trick tranny that you could put into "power mode" that made the thing rediculously fast.

My parents handed me down a 1976 Toyota Corolla hatchback. It was maroon and a totally stripped down base model. Everything was made out of cheap plastic. The AM radio had a speaker about the size of a silver dollar. I was almost afraid to take it on California freeways because it started shaking badly when you topped 70 mph. Eventually it deteriorated to where 50 mph was its max speed under any circumstances. I gave it away after two years, but it got me through the end of high school.

I had bought a Corolla Sports coupe for my new wife but Dad got mad and threw me some ugly Red Regal. What what I supposed to do, kick his ass when he was footing the bill...it was a cute car.

So in 86 I got that exact car, but it had the smoother headlights the first year, put on some side bumpers, AC and a cassette and I was in business. Thing had terrible brakes and the rotors warped second time I went down the grade into Denver. One time after a night on the town, some old Dodge was sitting where you get off Littleton onto Santa Fe, and I plowed into it. (mock has many odd stories). The car turned it's lights on and sped away! My hood was in crumple zone and here I go madder than Jake the Plummer after him. I got his licence number and called the cops. Stinkin' like hell it's a miracle I wasn't dragged in but I swear it's the truth. So anyway, that thing was taken to a fine shop, and 3500 dollars of insurance later, she was almost good as new. Gets a bit fuzzy here but somehow me and my cousin were off to California and Laguna Beach for a little R&R with the accompianing party utensils. Unfortunately, I had neglected to make my payments while on this Ricky Williams style sabbatical. I get to my letters and sent in two payments, but when I went to get something, the car was gone. This was well before "Dude where's my car". The repo man had stolen my little red Tercel EZ. They ToMoCo wouldn't negotiate at all, it was full due. I could of raised the capital but I knew the thing had allready been in a major accident and had bad brake rotors. The thing still brought 4500 when I owed about 6K on it so who cared. It was about 6800 out the door.

Anyway, it's funny you had an EZ too.

I generally had very strong cars but had a bad habit of wrecking them! Couple Cutlass rocket 350's, a Lemans 400 small block..kid stuff ya know. When my dad was making money hand over fist I would take the 77 caddy to the Drive In...that thing was cushy. Everything Burgendy and velour. It was the last hardtop and had every toy you could think of, it was custom ordered. So I borrow the car for the drive in and am banging my girl like a crazed animal and the knock on the window...the guy was almost in tears laughing, my knee or something hit the flasher. So I'm basically mooning the guy, my girl is laughing. It was very embarrasing but funny at the same time. I got right back to business tho.

This is freakin' me out. I bought a Corrola two door for another girl. I think it was a 76. The thing was immaculate and ran like a swiss watch and had AC. I put sheepskin seat covers on her and he just putted Karen around no problem. She had this Hundai that had engine problems and enough was enough. You don't throw good money after bad with that crap. I bought alot of cars off the W/S lot.

I also got a Colt that had the dual tranny that was an amazing tin can. You had a lever to switch the gearing and it was pretty quick.

I had a 91 Acura Integra. It was a very dependable and fun car, but one day we had a flash rain storm that completely flooded the streets. I was almost home, but I turned down this little side street and this kid was playing around on his bike in the rain. I had to stop fast and it sent a bunch of water flooding into my intake. Somehow the pressure sent a rod right through my engine block. I got a new engine out of deal after paying my insurance deductable, but I couldn't believe something like that was possible.
