Dateline NBC - To Catch a Predator

I have to give props to NBC for busting all the fricken perverts and putting them on national TV. I hope each and every one of them get the book thrown at them.

If you do not know about this series/show, they are busting guys who solicite sex from minors, boys and girls. So far tonight I've seen a Dr, Fireman and a Rabi get busted. Makes me sick.

They have a great set up, renting houses in different cities and working with a watchdog group and local authorities to nab these f@&% for setting all this up over the internet, then actually gowing to the house thinking they are about to hook up with a minor.

Couple weeks ago a guy brought his 5 year old son with him to go meet a young boy. Talk about disgusting. They called his wife at work and told her about it so she could pick up her son. I almost shed a tear there I tell ya. What a sick MF'er.

One guy recognized the reporter and tried to run out the door, only to get tackled by the cops!

I think they just said the set this up in 3 cities and busted 82 guys.

True story: On a TV station a good 100 miles away from me, they run a story about sexual offenders/preditors every single night.....that's every single night. If they don't have one about some creep getting arrested for molesting a kid or having kiddie porn on their PC, they do a story about the State registry or how you can find out where they live in your town. Sometimes it even appears that they really stretch to get something/anything about the subject worked into the newscast. People around here call it "Sex offender news @ 6". I just hope they don't over-saturate the populace with it to where they get tired of it and tune it all out. That would be nothing less than tragic IMO.

Des Moines had a similar thing...but it wasn't sexual offenders, just regular criminals. Lets just say that 10 o'clock program was rated #1.

Most people find it a very unsavory topic. Some people, apparently, find it all very boring. I'm just happy whenever anyone shines light on these societal malignancies. These people are masters of deception. Both in the way they manipulate unsophisticated and confused young people and in the way they hide their true faces from the world. Sadly, the internet has given these subhumans networking capabilities they never had in the past, so its vitally important people become more vigilant in response.

Maybe people will become desensitized to these reports. That's too bad, but those people are probably already too wrapped up in their own lives to give a rat's ass about any Amber Alerts in the local areas already.

As a parent, it makes me feel a little better anytime I hear that even a few of these lowlifes are taken off the street.

If one network can bag this many fools, I'd say every network should have a weekly show until they can't make a show any more because the fools have finally wised up. Internet stalking is a bigger problem than some people acknowledge.
