heh, ill tell you what if Im Lelie i would start spreading that around. Thats pretty much a highlight video for him.

you can say what you want about Lelie being selfish, but not a whole lot of receivers in the NFL make those catches he makes where jake lofts them way up and he has to adjust and fall sideways to catch the ball. When i was watching the combine they were having QB's throw those exact type of bad passes on purpose to see if the receivers could come up with them. I think maybe one guy made one catch when it was thrown like that and everybody was amazed. For Ash, partially because he's used to Jake's inaccuracies, it's almost routine.
I really hope we find a way to get him on the field this year.
He's not a #1 receiver on a championship team, but he's one of the most solid #2's you are going to find.

Just out of curiosity, Did Jake lead ASH correctly on even ONE PASS in that whole video?!?
Some of those deep passes were just ridiculous... all of those passes sliced away from ASH... ASH had to make spectacular plays just to get the reception... from what should have been a routine TD pass...
WTF was JAKE throwing out there... A FRISBEE... Sure looked like it to me...
Actually JAKE should have been throwing a FRISBEE out there... Then, He might have made some throws in the right ZIP CODE...
Jake looked like he was playing ULTIMATE FRISBEE out there... :cuss:

The best 2 catches in the ENTIRE LEAGUE last year were Broncos .... Lelie in Buffalo, and SA one-handed in the back of the end zone.

That has been the frustrating thing. Lelie makes some great plays on balls well down field and if we had a QB who could get it to him more then 50% of the time he would be an amazing deep ball threat on any given play.
Conversely - if Lelie would go across the middle and catch something besides the damn fly route he would be a legitmate contender for #1 on any team. But, alas he doesn't go across the middle and Jake's accuracy down field leaves something to be desired. So, we only get two or 3 catches from Lelie a game. (He had 10 games w/ 2 or fewer catches last year, including the playoffs).

I was all for dumping Ash ... after that video though I'm thinking dang we need to keep that kid. If it plays with heart,with us, we have a very legit shot of going all the way.

And Champs pick on Eli was a tough grab.
Im going to miss Lelie if he doesnt come back, he made some great grabs.

Thats what I've been saying all along. I'm really glad there is this lttle peice to remind folks visually what those passes were really like. No wonder Ash only had one TD in the regular season!
And when you watch every pal;y they ran slowly like thgis you see how few he dropped that were catchable.
I'm not justifying Ash wanting to hold out, but if you put yourself in his shoes you can understand why he felt under appreciated and under utilized in last years offense. When they started courting other WRs early in the offseason that was the straw that broke the camels back.
