He is a classic retread that Denver can get another 15K out of for a year.

Well its worth a shot. Another big man to keep blockers from getting to our linebackers.

Do we have space to get him in?

Thought I read that he was contemplating retirement???

One thing in his favour though is the fact that he's very durable and has only missed 7 games in 12 seasons which is some record.

AB at 33 he'd only get a 1 year vet minimum contract if he lands a contract at all.

If we are interested and actually land Big Dan I hope he pans out better than the last big DT we acquired from the Lions. A lot of people on here were hoping for big things from Luther Elliss, all we ended up getting was a name for the injury list.

I think the Bronocs are using the extra roster space for something else. I think we go fast on defense and stock extra DE.

It's going to be up to the offense next year to keep the ball, move the chains and strangle the clock. There is no missing DT.

The only way we should sign Big Dan is if he has spent time in Cleveland.

Nahhhhh, Myers and Warren are a formidable tandem, with Veal on passing downs.

Makes me wonder if he was the one to report the 'tough practice' violations that cost the Lions a few days of practices? That would explain the odd timing of the release.

Yup ... and we'd then have two platoons of DTs ... that should keep him fresh. He's obviously durable.

As long as he's a decent character guy, GO GET HIM!

i think dan can do a better job of tying up blockers than myers can. and someone like dan could allow coyer to keep his word and let warren 'play like sapp'. if dan is still into the game (he's never been one to draw rave reviews when it comes to work ethic; if he's thinking retirement...), i would definately be okay with bringing him in to camp for a look.
