I'm sure you are all waiting with baited breath.

Let's start with the defense, where championships are made.

7 Browncos borders on absurd, but they stick like elmer. We should be good against the run again and hopefully Lamg, Dumervil or Jackson can emerge.

LB:

Not alot to worry about here. Too bad Pierce never panned out. The starting crew is fine, very fast. Predator and Burns can stop in if there are injuries.

CB:

Best group in ages. All our rookies are now vets, we have Champ, and if Little Willie can come up, we are set.

S: Lynch is the Rod Smith here. It's a weakness but Browner or Cox might spell the old man. Still a weakness altho Lynch made the pro bowl. Need a cover safety.

Offense.

OL:

We are seriously undersized but our scheme makes up for it. Nalen is long in the tooth but should of made the pro bowl. Lepsis is better than we think, including me. This is an area that still needs attention. We got a couple late prospects, that's it.

WR:

We have 10 other WR besides Lelie. Funny thing is we wouldn't taken 2 WR and a TE if he wasn't pissing on himself. We have to get ready for life without Rod Smith but we have alot of ammo here to find a gem. Walker will be just fine in time. He's not Barbaro. He will come back. Give it time. Brandon Marshall is going to be a star. Write that down. Write that down twice because he's going to be a star.

TE:

You have to start out with House. Class organization. I know he's a LT but he's a hybrid kinda. I doubt he makes it. Cutler rooming with Chef is pretty cool, another smooth move by Shanahan. Unlike Putz, he LOOKS like a TE.

RB:

I told Wabbit that Dayne would be our starter last year, you can ask him...he's on field one. Nothing really will be different, insert Dayne for Anderson. Bell is right there, and Cobbs is very underrated. Bell is a darkhorse. I think franchise LT or RB will be our pick next year. We are fine at RB but not scary. You would be crazy to discount Cobbs who runs as well as the Whizzinator when healthy. Sapp is another hidden rock. We are very deep at RB or wouldn't of released Anderson.

QB:

Where do you go when I'm a total homer on Cutler. BVP showed up in war gear, Jake is Jake and just fine thank you very much and we have a seamless window to the future. QB is a strength now. I jumped out of my chair when we got Cutler...he's the real deal and we have a fine QB that is amicable and not threatened, at least for now. With Mr.Crazy, Cutler and the Snake, we are set for years.

Coaching:

Losing Kubiak might bring a bit of fresh air into the room,. I don't like losing Smith probably, but Dinger isn't a slouch either and was on the B2B teams. I don't like losing Smith, but we are going to be OK. Sundquist is a fine GM. shanhan brings a fairly stong resume IMO...that's why he is in company with Landry and Shula allready.

Ownership:

Mr.Fur is the man. May be the best owner of the league. Helping Duke Elway get his own team was pretty cool too. You couldn't ask for a better owner than Bowlen.

Prognosis?

We need a dominant DT and DE, and a dominant WR to take Rod Smith's role, he can't last forever. If we lose D.J. Williams we will need another MLB but Wilson isn't too old yet. Williams would make a fine MLB if we can keep him. Denver is in great shape IMO.

11-5.

The starting crew is the best in the league.

Other than that lapse in judgement, spot on.

breakdown your PlayOffs thoughts if we go against Pitt again and Indy at home.

Thanks

I wouldn't agree with that. If DJ Williams returns to form they might be.

People forget that last year was DJ's first year at SLB so I expected a down year from him. Give him another summer and he will be fine.

Yep.

And he did his job very good too. I dont think he was a slouch at all last season.

I think people think he will be gone (me included) because he knows that another team will take him in and put him at WLB where he is best at. I sure hope he can get more involved here and wanna stay, because i want him over Gold everyday.

I never said best in the league, I said we were fine at the positon for THIS YEAR.

Drafting stratgey has changed dramatically.

I believe there was some talk from the coaches that DJ might see some time spelling big AL at MLB - possibly in passing downs. Clearly if this is the case they recognise that the scheme stifles him a little bit. it wasn't just a drop in form last year, the scheme seems to be set up to free the WLB to make the tackle.

DJ is maybe the best pure athelete on the team so we need to try to utilise him better - trouble is, how many 4-3 teams have more than one true standout at the LB position? There can't be more than one tackle per play remember.....

We will have a better team this year, but we may not win as many games. Really lucked out more than a few times.

Our biggest weakness the last three or four years has been pass defense. We should continue to shut down the run next year but we must find a way to pressure the passer primarily with our four lineman or the infuriating experience of Pittsburg picking up repeated 3rd and long will continue. Having a stronger secondary will continue to help. But - WE HAVE to rush the passer better.

On O - I think we have the ingrediants but we'll have to see how they play out. Last year we had an effective and balanced offense - but nothing close to overpowering. With Rod getting old we need Walker to emerge big time or next year will suck. Rod played well above my expectations last year but I thought the rest of our passing game was anemic. If Walker produces as expected and one of our TE's emerges we should be ok. But... the ifs are adding up.

And, I'd like to see our running game get back to the days where we could run even if you knew we were going to run. Our O line and backs have not been as strong as our SB years (and big surprise, we've not been back).

I think, based on our schedule, we can hit 12-4 next year... Every game looks to be winnale at this point.

Agreed. There is not one game on the schedule that I dont think (at least right now) we cant compete for and have a good chance of winning. I am surprised how Mock talked up the team and then said 11-5.

And calling Bowlen "Mr Fur" was a nice touch!

I had a dream the other night, between Gauge and Marilyn Chambers...a premoniton so to speak...

Lelie will drag his sorry ass into camp. I have seen the future. Trust me.

Other things I have seen you don't want to even know about. Maybe I was just on hallucigens...carry on...I firmly know that Lelie will be in camp. Write it down.

What made you think we wanted to know about that???

Besides, what is the 6 degrees of Ashley Lelie that gets us to Mock's dreams of Marilyn Chambers?

DWiill tearing his gron hurt, but you can't lay everyting on Jake . He had 4 turnovers but Pitt converted 21of 26 first downs. That is abusrd!

I don't care if God is runnig the offense, if you give up 21 of 26 on third down convertiona your going to lose, period.

Honestly, this wasn't a 13-3 team.

I never actually see her face, just a taco.

I had a moment of lucidity and Lelie will play for the Broncos.
