Does anybody else have a problem with the voice/picture not being in sync for HBO HD? I have all the HD channels DirecTv offers, and HBO is the only one that has this problem. I have tried the unplug the reciever trick, no workie...

It sucks watching movies, the voice is faster than the picture, so it looks like one of those old chinese movies dubbed into english almost!

Sometimes it's HDNET, sometimes the movie channels sometimes they all work like they're suppose to :) It's the provider's that are at fault but some TV's you can adjust the sync.

It's about 8 months old, a Samsung 61" DLP, the audio receiver is a Yahmaha and the HD reciever is a Samsung also. The wierd thing is that all the other HD channels are fine, Showtime, ABC, NBC, Fox, CBS, ESPN, DiscoveryHD, TNT and the others.

I sent DirecTv tech support an email, see if the reply with anything worthwile.

Edit: Dang, a whole forum of this same problem! Thanks Bronco_Beerslug (http://www.orangemane.com/BB/member.php?u=1673) !

I see it all the time and it's usually on HBO HD. However, I've noticed that is never happens when the Sopranos are on--which is good!

You obviously have antiquated equipment. I doubt it's your equipment, they are just idiots at HBO. I thought Homer still worked at Chernobyl. If everything else is working correctly complain. You might get thru after having some computer prompt you for an hour.

I spend so much fricken money each month with DirecTv that I got this different 800 number to call, get right thru! Sent me a letter, a card with the number, etc. LOL, I'm a preferred customer!
I just checked the number against what they have on their website, it is a different number, I am special!!! LOL

Crap, my normal monthly bill is about $120, then the NFL Ticket gets added on pretty soon, plus the extra package they have for the HD broadcasts of the games, that'll be another 300 ro 350 total. Hope they stop having these darn UFC fights, the wife loves getting those on Pay-Per-View. I should buy stock in DirecTv.

I hooked everything up myself, but this is the 3rd HD tv I've had/configured so I am pretty sure I have it all set up right.

Where the FCC dropped the ball was letting Murdoch make NFL Sunday Ticket a monopoly to boost Direct TV sales.

Then, NFL network decided to go weird and start broadcasting on select cable networks. Then the NFL decided to get into the NFL broadcasting business. I can't get it analog or digital on Mediacom. I think Murdoch is the Anti-Christ at times.

Nice TV!!! I just purchased a Toshiba 52HM95 DLP and really like the picture! Right up there with the Sony Wega in quality at $4000.

My friend has been waiting for the newest HD tv to come out, guess it could be out soon. he equated it to a inkjet printer, where it sorta sprays the pixels onto the screen. Supposed to blow away plasma and everything else. probably be pretty pricey at first. Supposed to have some insane resolution, like waaaaaay more than anything out right now.
