This cop steps out in the middle of a road in front of a truck traveling at highway speed. The truck slams on it's breaks and rolls. Well duh! Maybe he didn't want to run the idiot over! He walks onto the center line!
Another one on the radio. You will be now be fined for following someone closer than 200 feet. That's just short of the distance between two telephone poles. Pretty soon it will be illegal to pass. Your supposed to start your pass from 200 feet? I suppose if you momentarily go over 55 to clear passing you will get a ticket now too! I've been trained to wear my belt out of fear and you should wear one, but some of these ads are absurd.
Instead of having a cop jaywalk out in front of a pickup in the middle of nowhere on a highway, they should show the difference of wearing your belt and not wearing one in a rollover with a dummy. The NHA wouldn't mind giving them some film. Cars and roads are incredibly more safe than even 20 years ago.
Good old boy farmers in their trucks have been kinda given a blind eye but they are the new target. I'm just saying they could come up with something a little more realistic, other than "Watch this guy wipe out as walk out over a hill and stand on the center line...where do they come up with this stuff?
