I look forward to reading this sites reviews every year. It was just finished. I think you will all enjoy reading about our players.

This guy was one who said last year that Williams, Foxworth and Paymah would all be better pros than they were in college when everyone else was blasting us for taking them. Look who proved to be right. I think Paymuh is going to shine this year as well.

Good link, Thank you. I liked the way that Sheffler and Kuper lit up the times board with RED, indicating their stats were high grade for their positions.

The only thing that scares me is is all the "pundits" like our draft. Priss-colon's grade is comforting tho.

I love retrospect - take a look at the sites review of our 2002 draft:

Lelie is a great fit for this offense. He is a combo of Smith and McCaffrey. He has excellen speed like Smith and good size like McCaffrey. Portis is a good situational RB. He is a better compliment to Davis than Anderson (who is moving to FB) or Gray since he offers a change-of-pace. Davis is a mountain of a man and should allow Pryce to move outside. FS Brandon started as a WR and has upside potential, SS Young could be a steal in round seven. Haygood, with 4.45 speed in the forty, is one of the better return men in the draft.

If only!

And that was one of our better drafts, or so we thought.

This was a doozie in 2003 as well considering Foster was a reach even at LT yet alone RT.

Rd Sel# Player Pos. School
1 20 George Foster T Georgia
2 51 Terry Pierce OLB Kansas State
4 108 Quentin Griffin RB Oklahoma
4 114 Nick Eason DE Clemson
4 128 Bryant McNeal DE Clemson
5 157 Ben Claxton G Mississippi
5 158 Adrian Madise WR Texas Christian
6 194 Aaron Hunt DE Texas Tech
7 227 Clint Mitchell DE Florida
7 235 Ahmaad Galloway RB Alabama

Of the bunch, Eason was the only one with a lick of talent. Naturally, he was bug**** between the ears.

What a horrific draft.

Check out the d-linemen, though. Aaron Hunt broke the big 12 sack record. Might still hold it.

Just a little thing to keep in mind when you see people around here saying that we "addressed" our defensive needs with a vertically challenged, mid-round DE pick this year.

"While they grabbed Scheffler higher than where I had him valued, Scheffler is a player I identified as one who will perform better in the NFL than many drafted ahead of him."

uhhhh, what are his rankings based on if not NFL performance?

Interesting comment: Mike Mayock, NFL Network - Mayock has Cutler as his clear number one QB. He stated that if he changed teams with Leinart, USC does just as well but Vanderbilt doesn''t win as many games.

Wow. That guy really knows his stuff. I was very impressed with his analysis. He seemed to get a lot of things right from last year too. Hopefully Paymah comes out where he should.

Great read! The only negative, IMO, I wish Powers-Neal was a better blocking FB than receiving. I'll take that as the only negative!
