Previewing the only official NFL game just a little what to expect next edition.

Hope it better then last year, but I expect to be disappointed. I really wish that NFL by Sega could have stuck around. Two more years and it would have fixed it problems and crushed Madden

What how can you not love an old fat white guy that yells bam, circle things and is secure in manhood to profuse his undying love of some guys named Brett and Teddy ???

I just don't get it...

I hated Madden's corny schtick from day one, but I never minded his video game. It just bugs me that they're the only ones with an NFL licensing agreement now.

ESPN was better. The engine was based on physics and the game moved and played like football players. Madden isn't "real". I am excited to see what they have us rated at this year since last year they had us rated a 74. For perspective that put us below the Cards and the Lions.

Looks pretty damn cool. For the first time in years, I don't even have a system right now, but when this game comes out, along with the new Splinter Cell and a few others, I'm going to have to lay down the coin for a next-gen system.

I agree, the 2k series was a ton better.

But I love football games too much to not buy Madden. I cant wait, the OL controls look intriquing, but in the end, i prob wont use it at all.

i think only good thing is the QB vision isn't default this year. I hated that with Plummer. But if they are"fixing" the running game, means that EA is mostly likely going to F up some other part of the game.

Ha! so true.

Plummers "Vision" was so tiny you could barely complete a down field pass. It was fun tho.

Madden is 2nd to TC in terms of excitement for me, i cant wait!

There are some on this board that might have posted that EA was to generous with Plummer's vision cone.

Running the 40? Sweet.

Looks nice. I gave my GameCube to my nephew, I may just take it back now.

That's what 27 INTs will do to you!

I'd actually be really curious as to how they rate Plummer this year, and what his cone looks like. Although as I've stated, the minute I get the game, Plummer hits the bench and I'm building up Cutler in a franchise, so I guess it's moot.

My PS2 just died. So now I'm debating about getting a new PS2 to hold me over or getting one of the next gen systems when they come out.

Dude, just wait. Right after 360 came out I saw the writing on the wall and sold my x-box on eBay and got what I could for it. It's not that bad going without a system. You might as well just wait for the cool stuff to come out, unless you play your PS2 a lot.

I didnt know you swung that way Rhyme ;)

I wont bench Plummer till the Broncos do, but Cutler will see plenty of preseason action :)
Plummer will be in the 80's again imo, but his vision will be wider.

That's what I'm probably going to do. Just torn between the PS3 and the 360. Sadly, the deciding factor might be if the PS3 is out in time for NCAA 2007. I doubt it will be, so I might be switching to the 360.

Yeah, I want the new Nintendo badly, but I don't know if I'll be able to wait through the fall. I may just get the 360.

With updated online rosters from EA, Plummer is like 91

edit: For comparison, Drew Brees is 90

Does that mean that Priest Holmes will run for 3 yards and get an injury?

I like 2k and Madden about the same. I liked playing offense more on 2k but I like playing defense more on Madden. It sucks not having any competition. That means they'll just milk the game every year.

What really shows how much i love Madden:

I bought a Xbox 360 Premium from my friend for about $350 three months ago when i couldn't find any around. He threw in Madden for free as well.
Since then, I've played all of about 1 game on Madden, about 30 min and that was when i first got it.

When the NFL draft was near and i needed a football fix, I had to go to NFL 2k5 on the old xbox. I keep the system around just for the football fix. The NFL really screwed Fans over when they signed off that deal to EA. There's no incentive for them to make a good game, I'd sit on cash if I were EA and Tiburone too.

Come to my penthouse apartment this evening, or, if you absolutely cannot make it because you're busy, some other evening in the near future. I will show you a night that will surpass your wildest romantic fantasies. I will wear my crimson silk pajama bottoms and robe, but neglect to wear the matching shirt, so as to show off my chest and abdomen.

My boycott of Maddenopoly will continue until their exclusive NFL contract expires.Since this was announcede I have had similar plans.

Reading that article though, and seeing some of the images... I may have changed my mind.

My main problem with the game has been the appearance of the players (which they have really worked on from the looks of it), I HATE the "Balco Ballers" as the article states.

I am on the fence now >:'( (I love to hate Madden too.)
