The low seven figures.

Perhaps the whole deal was a setup by Plame to become one of those icky rich people.

:oyvey:

If you honestly think that the story Valerie Plame has to tell is merely that of a "johnny-come-lately celebrity type" then you are more clueless than I thought.

I'm sure there are a lot of people who would like to hear her side of the story as opposed to just giving Fox News the benefit of the doubt.

so i guess we can count you in as a buyer of her book?
look - i'm not singling her out... there's books like this coming out all the time, all of 'em written by ghostwriters. everyone who's a politician has at least one, and every major athlete probably does too. as if we haven't really heard their sides of the story already. literary pap.
did you buy jose canseco's book with the jawdropping allegations of steroid use? heard that's a good one!

Steroid abuse and the outing of a covert CIA operative by a WH for political payback - now there's a comparison only a mental giant could make.

Not her own first-hand account.
right... i think we can all remember the vanity fair article. joe wilson himself has had countless chances to tell her side of the story to the media as well. interviews, speeches, even my local paper published one or two editorials by him. now we can all wait with bated breath for plame's exclusive "first-hand account" of the story, for the measly price of a $29.99 hardback book while joe and valerie laugh all the way to the bank. i bet you can't wait for all the juicy details!

Um, she was no longer covert when she inked the deal because she had already been outed by the crime family you support, genius.

As for her status when she was outed - are you really so dumb as to believe that the CIA (who asked for the investigation) doesn't know which of its own employees are covert ops?

The monkeys who support bush are afraid of this book because they know it is going to further expose the misadministration's treasonous crimes.

not too concerned about the book - just made a couple comments about it on the message board, that's all. i'm not going to buy it, since i doubt it'll be my kind of reading. if LABF or you want to spider, go for it, and give me the scoop on the good parts, will ya?
