Wouldn't that be something to have Champ and Ty Law along with the youngins. That would be an air tight secondary, especially with teams running 3 and 4 wide sets reguarly now.

Maybe we could sign him to a one year deal and see how it works out being that the cap will be alot higher next season. You can never have enough good db's.

And once the Titans release McNair, they should be able to offer at least/more money than the Chefs.

Law in KC would be bad news, IMO. Surtain's already a nice cover guy, albeit on the down side of his career now. Law's the same but both are still capable. Neither can cover Walker, however.

Let the Chefs have Law. It is always hilarious to see them slink in horror when a WR makes their D look like swinging doors.

No way to Law, he is demanding a salary that is way above his skill level at this point in his career. Even if we had the cash, Fox and Williams are great compliments to Champ, and the money would be better spent elsewhere.

I like our CB's right now. It's been a very, very long time since I could say that. If anything I think adding Law would hamper the development of Williams and Foxworth without upgrading the position enough to make it worthwhile. On D I only want to see upgrades at S and D-Line if they are going to make changes.

The answer to the question is "no". Shanahan apparently feels comfortable with our CB situation.

oh no, Lelie woudl come back to kill us. Trade him to the NFC. Hopefully to a real sucky team. Green Bay woulda been perfect. Their (take that Slap) more a danger to go 1-15 than superbowl.

That's a pretty ridiculous statement to say that neither can cover Walker. Both are two of the best corners in the league, yet for some reason they can't cover a WR who is coming off of an injury?

I don't know if Champ can cover Lelie. His monster seperation skills might pose a problem.
Maybe we should let them snag Watts. Our luck he would learn how to catch.

That'd work if everyone didnt already know we are too strapped to afford Law nor do we really need him as our secondary is young, fast, and has the potential to be far better than anything Law has left in the tank.

Comeon now, Williams and Foxworth have a more promising future considering Ty Laws age and they have shown some promise but at this point in there careers they cannot compare to Law. Law is slower by now but he is still the superior player.

Kinda patting yourself on the back aren't ya ? All I ever said is what Clayton chimmed in and then he wouldn't comment on Sports Center.
Not like the 1st time Clayton has jumped the gun on a move.
FWIW, I still see KC with a good chance to get him, I'm not sure I want him because of the price tag.
As for the one link, it was done as a joke, from the previous year. Get real, will ya ?
Bronco fans, always quick to add more to a topic that what was mentioned.:thanku:
Besides, Ty Law willnot end up in Ten. Titan country unless they give him a blank check. They are farther away from a SB than KC is.

Mark my words, Law cares NOTHING about a SB, only about the $$$$$. He has to feed his family remember.

And with around $9 million in cap room the Chiefs have the money to make him happy. Also, wasn't it Terrell Owens, not Ty Law, that made that comment about having to "feed his family"?

The guy had ten interceptions last year. Yeah, he's not the same player but he's at least as good as Surtain, IMO.
Plus, he's now a full year removed from that foot injury. I want him in KC.
We've got more cap room than the Titans (about 9 million) so money isn't an issue.
That's enough room for Law and our rookies. It would justify why Carl was hoarding it all this time.

Corner is our strongest position.......

ty law at safety is a thought though........

I say pass on the guy if for no other reason than we're loaded back there. Correct me if I'm wrong, but we've got NINE GUYS - none of which are likely candidates to be cut. Plus Antwaun Rogers .... Brandon Browner .... that Abdullah guy from TB
It's crowded back there.
FRONT NINE
Champ, D-Will, Fox, Paymah, Roc (somebody said Roc was the #1 gunner on spec teams last year)
Lynch, Hit-Man, Brandon, Cox

i'll be honest with you here about this one. i fully expect him to stay with herm edwards. herm knows how to run a defense and played with him in the jets. i would take him just to stop the chiefs from getting better in the secondary which they are better. imagine this -- champ on one side, law on the other williams on the slot and foxworth for the dime package,. nice fantasy huh? i know not a reality

Ditto listopencil. It could only hold back Foxworthy and Williams by keeping them off the field. Film room study and coaching only goes so far: sooner or later you have to go out on the turf and do it.
