Late mini camps are shannys latest GREAT IDEA!

Get all your vacations in earlier. Then their is one smooth transition from mini to TC.

Thanks 2KBACK I've been looking for that! Wow that's a late start date for us, even later than the mid-June of last year.

Do we have a rookie camp at least before that? I hope so as that is awfully close to regular camp and its a lot ot absorb that close to preseason.

No problem, I was hoping I could snag it and start my second thread ever. I hope there are other camps as well, but just for selfish reasons. I'm having football withdrawl.

Yeah they did like it and said it helped them retain more of the momentum from minicamp into the season and prevented the rookies from having to come here then leave again to finish school and come back.

You can see that the only other team to push it out beyond May is Kubiak and the Texans in the first week of June, so he concurs.

However, July seems pretty late to me. Right around then the rookies have to do the NFL indoctrination weekend too.

I hope we have both a rookie and a QB camp in June prior to the formal mini-camp.

With the date being so much later for us then everybody else is a good thing but in a different way that other people have mentioned.

For one, it allows Walker more time to heal before really pushing things and get an indication as to how effective he will be. Which will also give the Broncos more time to work on the Lelie issue. In that they can come to some sort of resolution, or unfortunately another WR is likely to get injured during their minicamp and Lelie's trade value will go up.
