I went to school with Brandon Marshall at the University of Central Florida. He is a buddy of mine. I am so happy for B-Marsh in that he landed with a great team. What I am not happy about is that the Dolphins passed him over to take another WR (Hagan) in the late third round.
Most of what you've read about Marshall on the internet has been hazy at best. In the four years at UCF, Brandon has been a class act. He is not a prima donna, and is very professional and never takes a play off. He ran a 4.5 40 in UCF's pro day, which got the attention of scouts. Some reports read that he played defense last year. That is entirely untrue. He played WR last year, his senior season. That was it. He was moved to Safety at the beginning of his junior season, because five safeties went down with injuries in the first 2 weeks of the season. He played a bit as a sophomore, but was behind some quality WRs in Doug Gabriel (Oakland Raiders), and Jimmy Fryzel (Orlando Predators).
If you need to throw a jump ball in the endzone, Brandon is a nice option to have. His jumping and height make up for his trouble seperating from WRs at times. People have also called him "baby TO". When it comes to Brandon's build...he is freaking stacked like TO. He doesn't come with the baggage.
I was there for the end of his 1st pro day. He took questions after working out for scouts. I ask the really long question near the end. Sorry that the audio isn't in sync...stupid computer is too slow so it's way off. You'll get a bit of an idea about him from this.

Anyways, I couldn't be more proud of Brandon. Go Knights!
