Apparently no time was taken to read some of the posts on this board....
As much as I would like to confine idiocy to Texans, don't think I can do it.

I think they did the right thing. I said it before the draft that Mario would be a solid choice. Bush will most likly be one of the better RB's in the league but a good DE isnt a joke either.

This reminds me of the time the Chargers passed on Michael Vick... What a huge mistake that was, am I right?

I loved how Joe Horn said that the Texans allready had a RB in Domanic Davis. Don't the Saint's have a new contract with Duce?

I hate to say it but i fully thought they raped the falcons with that trade just like they did to the giants on the manning deal (well we will find out since rivers still has to live up to it).

Wait, are you implying something about my bro Alec? Or Broncogary? Ha!
I think Houston will be raked over the coals for this decision for quite some time but it really was a good move for them IMO and I applaud their commitment to Dom Davis. I just wonder why they didnt appear to trade down to get better positioning.
On the flipside, Kubes and his staff certainly will be putting their necks out to be lynched if this kid winds up being a dud.

That's right. Playing in the NFL is like playing in high school.
Of all the lame reasons to convince somebody to be drafted overall #1, showing their high school clips ranks with "went to the same school with" for stupidity.
Of course, why should I expect better from an Arena fan? Arena football is to real football what putt-putt golf is to the Masters.

I was all ready to chime in on this thread but then I seen it wasn't about Bob and Alec.

What are the three most important positions on the football field???
1. QB
2. The guy that smacks the QB
3. The guy that protect the QB from being smacked in his blindside
Where does Bush fit on that list???
PS Quiettiger posted something similar, and I would like to give him credit for his thoughts, I didn't intentional steal for him. Great Minds think alike, I guess. Public Apology to Quiettiger - I am sorry if came across to close to his. Elsid

If they weren't going to pick Bush I think they should have traded down to NY and picked up the Brick, their o-line is horrible and maybe they could have gotten another pick in the deal.

Kubiak isn't stupid, they already signed 2 offensive lineman including Mike Flanagan.

Different situation. The Chargers didn't pass on Vick. They traded the pick away. They got a lot in return, and were able to pick LT.
That first pick in that draft was for Vick. The Chargers either had to take Vick, or trade the pick. It would have been insane to take any other player in that spot, including LT.
The Texans didn't do what the Chargers did. If they weren't going to take Bush they should have traded down a few spots.

The owner made the pick. Kind of a drag for Kubiak that he can still be overruled in his dream job.

Yes.. and what's so special about Vick exactly? Give me LT any day of the week..
I really like Houstons draft. Sure, Bush is great.. but they've put together a much better TEAM at key positions (much more difficult to fill than running back). They're going to be much better because of this draft.
