Bell coming home
Mike Bell said he told some NFL teams he would rather go undrafted and be a Bronco than be selected by them.
He got his wish.
The tailback from Arizona - who lived in Denver until he was 11 and grew up idolizing John Elway - was one of six undrafted free agents Denver agreed to terms with Sunday.
"This is a dream come true," Bell said. "I'm going to fight to make that team. That's my team."
The Broncos also agreed to terms with fullback Rashon Powers-Neal of Notre Dame, wide receiver Brian Clark of North Carolina State, linebacker Cameron Vaughn of

I wonder who picked up Gerald Riggs. What other RB's missed the draft?

Fullback Rashon Powers-Neal
Was he born to play fullback?
He's got the name for it...

Contrast that attitude to Lelie's. Welcome to DEN, Mike!

I would have been happy to select select Bell the 5th. To land him without even having to burn a pick is awesome.

Used to be a tailback, but doesn't really have the speed for it. Kinda light (236) and not as good a blocker as you'd like for an FB, also got suspended for the last 7 games of last season for a DUI, when he finally had a chance to shine in Weiss' offense that heavily features the fullback in passing and running situations.
If he keeps himself out from behind the wheel after a few too many though he's a good player. Damn hard worker and I always loved his attitude running the ball, if you were bringing him down he'd leave you with a few bruises to remember it by.

It always amazes me the guys that we get AFTER the draft. We haven't even seen Browner step on the field yet but I know many are excited about his talents and a potential move to safety. We seem to get good value. I am particularly excited about Bell and that we picked up players at positions of need (RB, DT, S).

Great pick ups, Neal is big and physical and of course I got to see alot of Tyler Everett. (I just guessed the wrong OSU saftey) He has alot of raw talent and is coachable.

He wasn't drafted for a reason. I saw a slightly above average RB when I watched him in college, that's it

I'm not saying he'll a superstar or anything, but he reminds me of a younger Mike Anderson, and there is not a thing wrong with that, especially if you are looking at a rookie free agent

That guy could be a beast as an H-back/FB...maybe take Cecil Sapp's role. He runs people over like nothin'!

I wonder if it's the same reason Rod Smith wasn't drafted.

ahh, hell fit right in then with our team, they like to drink (griese, mobley, etc etc etc) :)
I do like this signing though, i just felt it was too easy to pass that one up!

yeah well that's why they play the games. Terrell Davis wasn't exactly lighting up draft boards. Eslinger slipped all the way to the sixth round. And if we are going to give Cutler a pass on his stats because he played for a lousy team... well shouldn't we extend the same courtesy to a guy that played for the U of A?
I don't know if this guy is going to work out or not, but he's got talent and he's apparently fit for our system. I've seen stranger things then an out of nowhere back taking the reighns around here.

Rod Smith and Matt Lepsis were both undrafted fa's that turned out okay. Maybe Bell will as well. Stranger things have happened. Good pickup in my opinion.

I have not heard that vick was picked up anywhere. Would he make a good team mate with Dumervil?

Why do people want Vick. Sure, he can run around, but his mechanics are not good and just isn't that much of a QB in my opinion. Won't be a starter in the NFL and to top it off, he has character issues and no one wants that in a QB of all positions. A waste of time in my opinion.

Has Marcus Vick signed on with any team yet?
I think Vick's taken up Broadway since it's legal for him to "break a leg" there.

I don't think anybody actually here wants him, not with Jake and Jay and even BVP on board. I think people are just curious how someone can shiitcan their future like that.

We should bring Marcus Vick in for training camp so all of our guys can beat the **** out of him then let him go. I can see it now...
Shanny: We're going to try you out with no O-Line, Marcus. Just to see how that works.
M.V.: Uh...what?

Why Dont we bring him in, then line Elvis up and have the O lineman assigned to block him step aside so elvis can have a free shot at his punk azz. Preferably this shot would come from the blind side. Any player that would step on another players leg like that obviously has no respect for the game let alone the man that he is doing it too. Though it might have helped us be able to get Elvis in the fourth round since he did say he was still having problems with his leg at the combine which helped contribute to his slow 40 time that really hurt him since he was already considered undersized.

So if Elvis turns out to be the next Freeney and we wind up jumpin' Peyton Manning in the playoffs and ride to another Lombardi with our new found pass rush...and since we would have got him as a result of him sliding due to a bad workout resulting from the Vic stomping, in a bizzare kind of way Marcus would be the reason we win it all this year! :giggle:
