I know that it is way too early, but I think this draft signifies the end for a few players: Darius Watts, Mike Leach, Nate Jackson, Charlie Adams and puts others on the bubble: Brandon Miree, Curome Cox, and Roc Alexander. So here is my first stab…feel free to comment.
OFFENSE:
QB1: Jake Plummer
QB2: Bradlee Van Pelt
QB3: Jay Cutler
*** This will be the first year in a few that we keep 3 QB’s on the active roster.
RB1: Ron Dayne
RB2: Tatum Bell
RB3: Cecil Sapp
*** I would like us to pick up a solid vet in FA…maybe Chris Brown or Charlie Garner.
FB1: Kyle Johnson
FB2: Brandon Miree
WR1: Rod Smith
WR2: Javon Walker
WR3: Ashley Lelie
WR4: David Terrell
WR5: Todd Devoe
WR6: Dominik Hixon (KR)
*** I don’t foresee a place for Adams or Watts…maybe even Terrell.
TE1: Stephen Alexander
TE2: Tony Scheffler (LS)
TE3: Wesley Duke
TE4: Brandon Marshall (Project for Brewster)
*** The end for Jackson and Scheffler takes Leach’s spot as LS…finally.
LT1: Matt Lepsis
LG1: Ben Hamilton
LG2: Chris Myers
C1: Tom Nalen
C2: Greg Eslinger
RG1: Cooper Carlisle
RT1: George Foster
RT2: Cornell Green
*** With a LT next year, this unit will be set for years into the future!
DEFENSE:
LE1: Courtney Brown
LE2: Ebenezer Ekuban
LE3: Corey Jackson
LT1: Michael Myers
*** We need to add another DT through FA for depth.
RT1: Gerard Warren
RT2: Demetrin Veal
RE1: Elvis Dumervil
RE2: John Engelberger
RE3: Kenard Lang
*** This is going to be a really strong unit, I am excited! Elvis on passing downs, and Engelberger against the run.
WLB1: Ian Gold
WLB2: Louis Green
MLB1: Al Wilson
MLB2: Keith Burns
SLB1: DJ Williams
SLB2: Patrick Chukwarah
*** A strength
LCB1: Champ Bailey
LCB2: Roc Alexander
LCB3: Karl Paymah
RCB1: Darrent Williams
RCB2: Domonique Foxworth
*** Also a strength
SS1: Nick Ferguson
SS2: Sam Brandon
FS1: John Lynch
FS2: Brandon Browner
FS3: Curome Cox
*** Would like us to get a safety of the future soon, Lynch is getting older and Fergy is average.

Thoughts:
After seeing our defense on paper again, I am really excited… they were great last year and most were new faces. With a year under there belts… another year for DJ, Darrent, and Dominique, and Elvis in da house, this is going to be the top unit in the league! ORANGE CRUSH!!!!
The offense will be slightly improved with the addition of Javon, but we really need to address RB in FA, otherwise adding Javon will be washed out by the loss of Anderson. Jake is Jake and needs a solid running game to be an effective passer, it wouldn’t matter if he had Randy Moss and Marvin Harrison, without someone to hand the ball to, he is marginal at best. Chris Brown would be a solid pickup; I think that he would excel in our system, or Travis Henry. Charlie Garner could also be good, but he is getting really old! I guess I am just not convinced yet that Dayne can carry the full load. If they thought so highly of him, then why did he not get more carries last year?
Overall:
This team is better than last year’s and since last year we were in the AFC Championship game, I am stoked! We are set up for a run at the SB this year and also for years in the future!

I also wonder about Ernster. If he can't make a place for us by kicking it out of the endzone in an actual game situation. We'll see.

Charlie Adams is most likely gone. I agree Watts either steps up in a big way or he busts for a 2nd rounder.
I believe this was a pretty good draft. Elvis will bust IMO...his senior days were a JOKE against big talent and some draft evaluators that I trust believe he was way too highly regarded irregardless of his productivity at Louie ville.
I'm HUGE on Browner stepping up so not getting a S wasn't a big deal to me.
Lee Suggs anyone?

Tha is what I hope. Cooper got the job done but he is nothing special. I dont think that will be this year either sence they usualy make the OL work there way up.

Cant see a 6th rd pick starting on that line in his rookie season. Foster was a 1st rounder and sat for a year.

Cooper did a solid enough job for $1 million per season.

I was the biggest opponent for Carlisle before last year and there is no way that he will not start next year barring injury. Elsinger is the future at center not RG.

Well as you can see in my post count i dont voice my oppinions here but verbaly to my friends I have talked about my dislike for cooper for along time. On a side not maybey he can pull a Hamilton and learn C and G.

Leach makes the team. We kept Putz, Jackson, Alexander, Leach, and Duke last year. Sorry boys Leach is more then just a proven LS he is our best tackler on the punt coverage team as well.

Well two years ago I blasted him on every play and Shack can vouch for that. But he improved a good deal last year. Besides Kuper will be the backup at guard not Elsinger who is an ideal center.

I'm guessing we will only keep two QB's again and Leach will stay as I agree with DB4L.

I like your 53 man roster with a couple of changes. The Broncos add other Dt and Browner going to practice squad. Replacing Miree with another running back and Keeping Sapp as backup fullback.Devoe Adams and Kircus battle it out at wide receiver for a spot. Maybe keep Leach and release Duke. Also maybe Jackson and Duke fighting it out for a roster spot.

Maybe Pj Alexaner will be healthy enough to be backup guard and Keeping both Kuper and Elsinger on practice squaud.

I know since he came from Col. he has fans here but there is realy no good reason to hold on to him now.

Actually he could back up Cuttler pretty well and he knows the system. Poor man's Jake Plummer.
I'm betting on something more like this:

Final roster spot to a DT, ideally a veteran but we might settle for this new guy we just signed as a UDFA.

I dont see why we need van pelt. though I think we prolly will keep him. can he play special teams? that and between non achievers I'd take watts.

I'd keep BVP. He should be Cutler's backup for the future. Mobility all over the QB depth chart.

Good point about Alexander...don't forget about Carswell either.
I seriously doubt we will keep 6 DE's.

Cant see a 6th rd pick starting on that line in his rookie season. Foster was a 1st rounder and sat for a year.
and he still isnt very good. They knew Foster was a work in progress but this is his 3rd year. He is big for this line. He had some major penalties called against him last year also.

Roc will be gone, Adams gone, Watts is a hit and miss, as of now id say gone.
Lelie will prob be gone, so that opens a spot.
Garner might be added thru FA, so id say Cobbs gets the boot.

I think Kuper was listed as having potential as a long snapper.
He might crack the lineup as a reserve lineman and long snapper.

I'm curious about the Offesive Line how that is going to look. How good is Meyers at this point? Broncos need to draft an OT backup one of these days.
Van Pelt? I say draft another smart mobile QB behind him. Keeping him as a backup to Cutler next year? I don't know.
Lelie is locked up for one more year.
Broncos need a bonefide DT. Magic schemes don't work in the playoffs.
If Alexander and Adams are gone whose doing PR/KR? Dwill? No way.
Leach makes the roster. We need a long snapper. I just wish somebody would get him involved as a legitimate TE. He's on the roster. Use him.

If Cobbs can stay healthy, he could be our starting RB. He's got mad skills, he'll stay.
I'm curious about the Offesive Line how that is going to look. How good is Meyers at this point? Broncos need to draft an OT backup one of these days. We still have Cornell Green, who did very well splitting time with Foster. We don't rotate OL much, so one backup OT isn't a bad situation as long as we keep some versitile OLs around and some practice squad options handy, which we do.
Lelie is locked up for one more year.
Unless we trade him, which I'd guess is what anyone was implying, no way do we cut him, he's still our #3 WR.

No ****, right?
If Alexander and Adams are gone whose doing PR/KR? Dwill? No way.
Dominick Hixon, two years as a returner, 4.36 speed, 6'2" 200 lbs, return man for his last two years of college, when he was a top 5 player both years in all purpose yardage. Better yet, he was a safety for his first two years, putting up 111 tackles his rookie year. Tough natural athlete, ideal special teamer.
Leach makes the roster. We need a long snapper. I just wish somebody would get him involved as a legitimate TE. He's on the roster. Use him.
I agree. Kuper and Scheffler have potential to be long snappers, but so did Myers last year. We've stuck with Leach because there is no question about his ability to long snap and, maybe more importantly, to not have his effectiveness post-snap be effected by it. A lot of long snappers are a liability on the field after they snap the ball, Leach isn't. He's a tenacious blocker and a very good downfield tackler. He's a specialist, but one that we can afford if you ask me, at least until one of the young pups step up and show the same all day tough attitude towards the long snapper position. I think Scheffler is the only one to feel that way though, and no way are we going to have our starting TE long snapping.
Garner might be added thru FA, so id say Cobbs gets the boot. Garner is toast. If he's brought into camp Cobbs and Bell will humiliate him. If he gets an invite its because Shanny is being nice.
