Just throwing this out here. He wont be traded for draft picks in this draft now but is there a chance we look to swap him for a DT, RB or even a TE such as Daniel Graham in New England?

We now have Rod Smith, Javon Walker, Ash, David Terell, Brandon Marshall, Charlie Adams, Darius Watts, Todd Devoe and D Hixon, 9 into 6 doesn't go.

We only have 3 DT's in Warren, Myers and Veal and with the rotation that Denver runs we need another body in there.

Keep him for the season. Let him walk next year.

I'd suspect that we grab another body when we get UDF agents. But that could be a real possibility with another team that has a surplus of (or a disgruntled) DT.

I think Shanahan is happy with Tatum Bell, Ron Dayne, and Cecil Sapp.

we need more DT's but I would rather keep Lelie

So would I but we are woefully short at that position. We carried 4 last year but also remember that Pryce did play quite a few downs at DT.

Broncos way well give Grady Jackson a call this week. Wright has been drafted by the Dolphins in the 7th so he's out of the picture as a UDFA

We could move Courtney inside in a pinch. If there is a disgrunted star DT out there, the coach is ready to listen, no doubt.

Remember, Pryce was allowed to seek a trade and wound up playing. Lelie is disgruntled but has never said he wouldn't play like JW.

I don't think you let this guy walk after the season. This offense is going verticle with a potentially rocket armed QB. You don't just ditch your best deep threat in that situation. The ball is in our court and we can do what we want to do.

This season the offense will revolve around a lot of 3 WR sets a la Indy and NE. I see Ash, Rod, and Javon playing a lot each.

2007 we should have Javon as our #1, Ash as our #2, and Rod as our #3.

Ash will kill with Cutler throwing him the ball on the run.

Keep Ash for the season and see how it goes, at worst I think he's a restricted FA. Then there is a chioce on how much he's worth to some other team to take him away or for us to keep him.

bpc, you talk to Ash every once in while right? I would love to know if he changes his tune now with JC.....

Broncos did pick up DT Ahman Gordon from the Browns, who was a 5th round pick a couple years ago. Broncos seem to like Cobbs at RB, so unless deal Lelie for Suggs, not sure there is a RB they'd want other than some undrafted guy like Bell or whoever.

We've become a little detached recently. I haven't really had a chance to speak with him.

Our relationship is a little funny sometimes. He knows that I'm a huge Broncos fan... he's known this ever since high school so I don't try to get to INTO his involvement with them because over the last few years even though he has been quiet about it... it has been volitile. He wants to be a bigger part of the offense. I think with a stronger armed QB, he will.

I think we are taking steps to bring Javon in... we would be a fool to ditch a talent like Ash when we finally got somebody who can get him the ball. I think the relationship can definitely be repaired. Ash just wants to do well and contribute to us winning a super bowl. He's noted that every time he is involved, Denver usually wins. As long as Plummer is throwing passes, it will be hard for him to contribute like he could in another wide open offense like ST. Louis, or Indy, or KC, or hell even Philly.

Nah keep Lelie. Trade Plummer for the best DE/DT we can get.

Trade him for ANYONE....I heard Tampa's Interested...maybe we could ship him and a second rounder next year for Simeon Rice?

Hilarious!
