I will love this draft if we have strong 2nd day. Cutler will be the QB of the future in 3 years. I know we were hoping that would be Van Pelt, but who were we kidding. Sheffer is a bit of a head scratcher, but at the very least, he will replace Putzier. And to get Walker is huge and lock him up for 6 years!

We need a Safety of the future to take over for Lynch… I would like to see us get Ko Simpson or Darnell Bing.

We need a solid DT to go beside Gerard Warren… I would like to see us get Gabe Watson or Rod Wright. DE’s can be rotated; you want fresh guys there to rush the passer.

We need a few OL projects, our guys are getting old… I would like to see us take a couple of guys, maybe Elslinger from Minnesota or that guy from Georgia. We need help there soon. Foster and Hamilton are the guys for the future, hopefully Meyers will pan out. But then what? Nalen is old, Lepsis won’t be here forever and Carlisle is average at best.

I would also like to see us shore up the running back postion. I don’t want to go out on any limbs here, cuase that would be too hard, I trust the staff, but I do think we need someone else besides Dayne and Bell.

Whatever we don’t get through the draft, we need to get in the June 1st cuts. A RB would be good there, cause he could contribute immediately.

Their is still alot of good football players and have 3 4 round draft picks to land a couple of them . I also would not mind if the Broncos trade a 3 round pick in next years draft to add another 4 rounder.

Slade, I agree with your post except the Gabe Watson part. I watched him in the bowl game vs. Nebraska and he just looked lazy.

I agree with the sentiments expressed hereon by those who are hereon.

I think Sheffler will surprise; he has good combination of athleticism and strength. showed well at the Combine. There is nothing lost in the TE position with soime real potential for an upgrade. Walker will help tremendously.

Drafting Cutler is fantastic. I am hyped about his selection and I look forward to watching him in the exhibition games. In two years, he should be a very good addition to this organization. Later, it will be "JC's Team."
