View Full Version : Day 2 - A Wealth of Talent Still on the Board

With Denver looking to fill in some needs with 3 4th rounders, they have the fire power to grab any of the following guys (some of these will surprise you):
Rod Wright DT, Texas
Gabe Watson DT, Michigan
Orien Harris DT, Miami
Mark Anderson DE, Alabama
Victor Adeyanju, DE, Indiana
Ko Simpson, S, South Carolina
Pat Watkins, S, Florida State
Darnell Bing, S USC
Greg Eslinger, C, Minnesota
Max Jean-Gilles, G, Georgia
Fred Matua, G, USC
Jonathan Scott, OT, Texas
Ryan O'Callaghan, OT, Cal
Tim Day, TE, Oregon
Owen Daniels, TE, Wisconsin
Demetrius Williams, WR Oregon
Jason Avant, WR Michigan
Brandon Marshall, WR UCF
Leon Washington, RB FSU
Omar Jacobs, QB Bowling Green
Reggie McNeal, QB TX A&M
Personally, I would absolutely LOVE to see Denver come out of this round with Rodrique Wright, Gabe Watson, Eslinger, Jean-Gilles, Orien Harris, Ko Simpson, or Jason Avant.
There are some great names still out there.
Go to work BBT. Make it happen.

Wow, there really are a lot of quality players still out there. We should be very pleased with Day 2! Time for some D-linemen!

This is where the sleepers come from.
Let's wait on safety til next year and just draft 3 DL in the 4th. Or, if Lelie really is leaving, i guess try and get Avant.
Then, don't forget about Bernstein in the 5th.
And the 6th is going to be either a OL or RB by default....

Wow there is a lot of talent left on the board, now we are seeing just how deep this draft is. Normally at the start of day 2 there are about 5-10 players who were graded as day 1 picks. It's more like 15-20 at least this year.
I'd like to come out of the 4th round with a DT, a S and some OL depth.
At DT I'd love to land Rod Wright or Jonathon Lewis. We need another penetrating DT next to Warren to improve our pass rush rather than another DE prospect IMO.
At S I can't believe Bing and Simpson are still available, a lot of safeties have been taken ahead of them. I would marginally prefer Simpson for his better ballhawking and coverage skills.
At OL, Eslinger seems like the pick that fits, but Scott has major upside, I think he will go before our picks. Setterstorm is still availabe and hopefully will be there in the next round.

Oh yeah, and it would be nice to take Bloom

I know most people dont like Gabe Watson but at this point he can realy be used to seel up the line. Him and Warren togather clogs up most of the line. And Esliger to come in and prepair. Nalen cant play forever but there is always the chance that he could switch to guard and take cooper's spot.

This fourth round is really going be the difference maker this year. I expect some more trades because of the # of players and the fact that we 4 picks in this round

I would guess the Broncos will look at DL, safety, OL in the 4th round and maybe WR or even take another RB.

I think Montgomery will be a steel for someone in 5 or 6 round.

Hmmm, Leon Washington? that kid has some serious speed but he is very small. Im not sure who i would want if it came down to him and my boy Wali Lundy. Lundy has better size and instincts with blockers but Leon is a gunner when out in the open. I still think that King the TE out of Virginia Tech is a really good player and we should consider him. And i think we do need DT and Safety help but i guess in that other its a crapshoot right now.

I think Watson will be a good player, and is generally higher rated than Wright, but I want a DT that will penetrate the back field and provide some pass rush, ala Pryce, not a clogger like Ted Washington etc...

Damn, both the safeties have gone.

boy i wish we had higher 4th's or a third.

Marshall !!!!! Great pick!

Why does Jeremy Bloom remind me of Kevin Kasper?
