Bummer for Bradlee Van Pelt on this one. Don't kill me here. Cutler should be great, but I wanted to see BVP step up in that backup role this year and maybe get some snaps.
Guess it's back to #3. These kind of things don't get mentioned on the draft coverage, but man BVP has worked hard to even make the team and make it all the way to the #2 spot. Guess he was in over his head. But it's gotta be crushing to know you were one snap from taking over under center to now getting dumped down the depth chart. Cruel business I guess.

This could make him work even harder and I'm sure he could be bummed, but its a business and he knew Denver was going to get a QB via Free agency or the draft.
So I dont feel down for him or anything like that, its a business and they are here to win football games and besides, they got a franchise caliber QB who will be the signal caller when Plummer eventually leaves.

BVP will be cut, unless Shanny keeps 3 QB's on the active roster.

He hasn't done that for awhile though if I recall.

He could slide to #2 eventually, if Den. keeps 3 until Plummer is done. I don't think it will happen though. Shanahan has proven that he doesn't put much value on a #3 QB.

yes, but he has more value than the usual number 3 because of his athletic ability...we'll be able to use him some where

Maybe BVP will be hanging out at the Stadium more.
Shots all around.

By the way, the Dude rules, and the carpet really tied the room together.
BVP could be used in multiple roles, as shown with that TD last year, if they keep him on the squad. He's a gritty player with a good work ethic so I'd hate to see him sent out the door, but I think he'd catch on somewhere.

I like BVP too. Everything about him except his erratic play. The guy is definitely exciting to watch, for better or worse no doubt. One thing he has going for him is 2 years in a system that many say takes 3 to learn.

BVP is a big dude, but he can't complete a pass to save his life. I suggested in another thread a position change. His mobility can be put to use in other ways...

I don't think it's possible b/c he was on the active roster last year, but can he go back to the practice squad?

Move him to wideout and kick returner. The guy is a play maker, just can't throw.
